Breakfast.

I woke up the next morning.

It was Sunday, I thought. This means back to school tomorrow. Thinking about that made me want to puke, but thankfully I didn't. I realized I still had my clothes and shoes and makeup on from last night so I got up and walked to my bathroom and decided to take a shower.

After my shower, I walked to my dresser and threw on leggings and an oversized flannel and put my hair up in a bun, because today I was just going to be in bed watching tv, or so I thought. About 30 seconds after I got comfortable in bed I got a text. it was from Shawn.

Shawn-
hey gabby wanna go out for breakfast with me at the diner up the street!

considering it was 10am I decided why not so I responded to Shawn with a yes and he told me to come over whenever I was ready. I decided to not even bother changing it doing my makeup. So I just got up and walked to Shawn's. I reached for his door bell and let it ring for about 15 seconds and then he answered the door.

"woah that's the fastest I've seen someone get ready" he laughed

"well I just got out of the shower and didn't bother changing" I laughed back.

"well let's get going" Shawn said.

Me and Shawn both agreed to walk because the diner was only up the street. On our way there we just played stupid lite games like "eye spy" or we would see who could go the longest hopping on one foot. Soon we arrived at the diner. There was only a few people here eating. typical, I thought. This place has been getting less and less business recently even though it's my favorite place to come to.

"So how'd you even know about this place?" I asked "you moved her like 4 days ago and this place isn't in the most revealing spot" I laughed.

"I've been walking around town recently, I wanted to get to know it before I started going to school and had no time to do anything". Shawn replied.

I nodded as I was chewing on my chocolate chip pancakes.

"the people here" Shawn said. "don't seem very friendly, I mean the ones that seem around our age, I pass buy people a lot when I walk around town and they just don't seem friendly" Shawn explained.

"I can agree" I replied right away

"So what do you wan-" Shawn said as he was interrupted by our waitress

"are you two ready for the check?" she asked nicely

"yes" me and Shawn both said.

The women came back with the check and few minutes later and before I could even open my bag Shawn threw a $25 dollars on the table.

"no Shawn" I said "I want to at least pay half" I said

"no can do" he smiled "my treat to you" he said.

"Shawn" I said seriously

"gabby" he replied

"ugh fine" I replied "but I'm paying next time" I said as we both walked out of the diner.

"ha sure" he laughed.

gosh I think I love this kid
