She still couldn't even meet his gaze. He just kept watching her from across the room. She sniffled slightly as she clutched the pile of papers to her chest. Tobirama was smirking at her from across the room, he seemed way too amused with her internal strife when it came to Hashirama. Itsuki was with Mito today so she was free to do whatever she had wanted, and yet here she was. Sitting in his office being thrown a varying array of glances. None of them would let her live it down.

It has been almost a month... A MONTH.

Hashirama had all but asked her if she wanted to have his children... and she fainted. She was a fool. Hashirama continued to flirt with her and make gentle advances on her, as if to get her used to the idea of being with him. She liked it, she awaited his kisses and the gentle embraces she would get every day almost all day. She loved waking up never to him and him being practically wrapped around her in his sleep. She was always warm and she always felt loved. It was magical to her. The thought of having his children wasn't a bad thought, it was the act of making them that panicked her.

She had never been with anyone that way and it just felt forbidden for some reason. Of course, her father had it ingrained in her that she had to wait until marriage, but Hashirama didn't and she didn't want to disappoint him, that and she didn't want to disappoint herself. She wanted to wait until she was ready and it seemed Hashirama was perfectly fine with the kisses and cuddles. Not to mention he enjoyed playing with her hair.

A slow smile crossed her lips as she watched him chat happily with Madara about the village happenings. He seemed so purely happy it made her heart flutter. His smiles seemed so... radiant. As if he caught her staring he looked over at her and smiled at her. The moment that smile spread over his lips she blushed and looked down once more and clutched those papers to her chest before she carried them over to his desk. She placed them on his desk gently and offered a small smile.

The man made her more nervous now because he openly stated he practically wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. she shouldn't be surprised through, she had basically don't the same thing when she said she couldn't leave and wanted to stay in this time. Hinata inwardly sighed, she's been a blubbering fool. She basically told him that she was prepared to spend the rest of her life with him and the moment he does the same thing she freaks out and reverts into the faint around every corner version of herself.

His gentle fingertips traced along the top of her hand and she smiled softly as she watched as he continued to rifle through the paperwork as he did so. His rough padded thumb just continued to caress the back of her hand. That was it... this... she wanted this for the rest of her life. And she wanted to show him this... a smile broke out over her lips as she steeled her resolve. "Hashirama..." she called and he looked up from the paperwork and offered her a sheepish smile.

"Sorry..." he managed as he released her hand from where he had been holding it hostage. "I wasn't complaining." She whispered and he gave her an odd look. "I was just going to tell you that I would be back later and that I was going to go home and get ready for dinner." She said and he grinned, it seemed he had forgotten that they were going out to dinner tonight. Outwardly she smiled, but inside she was sad. It was Madara's birthday and they were celebrating their birthdays together, which is why she was sad if he had forgotten.

"I will see you soon, then." He said and she nodded with another smile before she took her leave.

Madara sighed as he made his way to the restaurant where he knew Hinata and Hashirama were waiting for him. The chilly winds were nipping at his cheeks and that was all he could focus on. 'Happy birthday to me, it's fucking cold as usual.' That was all he could focus on; how irritatingly cold it was even though he was bundled up in a heavy coat. All he could think of was the cold and the fact he knew that Hashirama was planning something tonight but he wasn't sure what. He crossed his arms over his chest and sighed as he slipped his eyes shut. He bumped into someone and he cringed as he bowed lightly to apologize.
