i keep staring at your picture
you are the epitome of art
no paint can match the mixture
of your sheltered heart

When Jimin got home last night, he threw his belongings randomly in his room and jumped in bed. Now that he was awake and showered, he was organizing his stuff.

When going through it, he found the multiple films of pictures he and his friends had taken. One picture stood out to him as he clipped the others up to designated places on his picture wall. Which was just a space on the wall he a made DIY polaroid holder for all the pictures he cherished.

He took the picture he held aside and brought it to his bed where his pen and paper were waiting. It struck creativity in him as he wrote his next poem. Then he took a paper clip and held the picture of Yoongi at the beach and his poem together, before gently putting it in its place inside the teddy bear.

Then he looked back up at the picture wall and smiled at all the new memories he and his friends made the day prior, before realizing one was missing. It was the one Yoongi took of him, and he chased after him for.

Jimin realized he never acquired the picture. He was so tired when he reached his friend, he couldn't remember what they were running around for. "Damn you, Min Yoongi," He gently cursed under his breath.

It's not that it was a bad picture, he just hated getting his picture taken, because he knew if he stared at it for too long, he'd hate every aspect of it and his perfectionist mind couldn't handle that.

Even now, contemplating too much on it he started to get edgy. So, he decided to distract that thought by texting his friend.

He clicked on the contact's name that read "Yoongi 💜" and typed away.

'want to hang out today? i'm soooooooooooooo bored'

'Sorry min, I got plans with Ari'

Jimin sighed and responded with a simple, 'thats alright' and tossed his phone somewhere on his bed.

He didn't want to admit it, but every day he became more jealous of Ari. He knew that she was his best friend's girlfriend, and they were bound to spend time together, but it felt like all the time he had to spend with Yoongi was getting ripped away from him. Their interactions became less and less.

It pained his heart, but what was he supposed to do? She was perfect for Yoongi. With her caring smile, and flowy brown hair she is always there to support her boyfriend and be there for him when he needed her. If Jimin were straight he's sure he'd fall for her. But that didn't change the fact that he did all of those things, and it was barely acknowledged.

Whatever.

Flipping over in his bed, he groaned into his pillow. He'll get over this silly crush he had on his best friend and find the right person for him. Someone who looked at him with affection and bless him with a wide, gummy smile like Yoongi does when Jimin laughs at his corny jokes. Dammit, he couldn't get him out of his head.

Thankfully, he didn't sit on it for too long, because a knock emitted from his bedroom door. Without a response, his mother peeked her head in and offered him a loving smile. "Jimin, someone's at the door for you."

"Who?" He asked, hopefully,

She opened the door a bit more, revealing Taehyung. "Oh."

"Oh? I come all this way to hang out with my best friend and I get an oh?" Taehyung dramatically faked tears, bouncing into Jimin's room like he owned the place. His mom left the two friends alone and closed the door.

"Sorry, I thought you were someone else," He apologized while rolling his eyes at his childish friend. "What are you doing here, Tae?"

Taehyung moved Jimin's legs over and got comfortable in his bed beside him. "Firstly, we cannot all be Min Yoongi," Jimin blushed at Taehyung's words. "Secondly, what's wrong with wanting to hang out with my best bud?"

"Yoongi sent you, didn't he?" Taehyung smirked and grabbed his phone. Slightly occupying himself, since Jimin still hasn't gotten up. "Yes, he said something about you dying from boredom."

"That's an exaggeration," Jimin sighed, dropping his head on the pillow again.

"You always look dead, so is it though?"

Jimin finally got up and grabbed his pillow, throwing it at Taehyung's face. "Shut up."

Taehyung caught the pillow, hugging it and making himself at home. They sat there for a good couple of minutes in serene silence. "Maybe you're always bored because you're a boring person."

"That's it."

With that, the great pillow war of '22 started. They were giggling with each soft, feathery hit and didn't care that Jimin's bed was quickly becoming a war zone of a mess. Eventually, they became tired and Jimin's mother yelled up to them that she had some food ready and called their names.

They grabbed some of the delicious-smelling food and situated themselves on the couch. Jimin putting on some random anime for them to watch while they ate. "I think you should tell Yoongi that you like him," Taehyung said with a straight face, analyzing Jimin's reaction.

"What?" Jimin nervously asked in disbelief, playing with the cool surface of his utensils.

"You might get heartbroken, but it would help you get over this crush you had on him for ages, and you can move on instead of silently suffering," He responded.

Jimin agreed with what he said, but the thought of humiliating himself and possibly causing a rift in the friendship he had with the older didn't sit right with him. So, he decided it's best to keep it in until the feelings went washed away on their own. It was the best option in Jimin's eyes.
