Jimin stared at his words, the baby blue ink glinting back at him. It mocked him for not being able to verbalize his feelings. Instead, he chose to write them down.
That way, he had control over it ever being read or not. His fingers folded the square paper in half, small and delicate. The familiar feeling of relief washed over him.
He grabbed the regular, medium-sized stuffed bear beside him and opened the little patch on its belly. Gently stuffing the newly written poem into it, he sat there admiring it for a bit.
It was a beautiful creme color with pastel brown paws and a pastel brown ribbon worn around its neck. The feeling of the bear's material was soft. It was like holding the clouds.
The patch on its belly looked small and almost unnoticeable, but it was big enough to hold three folded sticky note sized papers. Jimin placed the bear on the nightstand beside his bed and laid down.
Upon his movement, he felt the other side of the bed dip towards him. He turned on his side to face his best friend, who was sleeping over. They were face to face, and he saw the flutter of his friend's eyes as he started to wake up.
"Jimin?" He sleepily asked.
Jimin smiled at his friend's groggy words. "Yes?"
"What are you doing?"
"Sleeping," Jimin whispered.
"No, you're not." The other had fully woken up by then and had made direct eye contact with him.
Jimin giggled. "Well, I'm trying to! But you're keeping me up." He scooted closer to obtain some of the body warmth the other was emitting. "It's cold in here, Yoongi. Share the blanket."
Yoongi gave up some blanket then frowned. "You never told me what you thought of my hair."
Jimin moved his hand up to his friend's newly dyed icy blue hair and grabbed some strands between his fingers. "I love it."
"Really?" His best friend breathed out.
Jimin nodded, then moved his hand back under the blanket because it started turning numb from the cold room. Jimin hadn't grabbed his heater from the attic yet, and it was already mid-November.
It was so cold that Jimin moved even closer to his friend. "Yeah," Jimin replied. He could feel their breaths starting to intermingle, and it was such an intimate atmosphere he couldn't help but start to warm up from his blush alone.
"That's good because..." Before Yoongi could finish his sentence, his phone buzzed in his pocket. The both of them felt the vibrations ricochet through Jimin's bed. Yoongi took it out and became occupied with his phone. "Sorry, it's my girlfriend."
Jimin turned over to the opposite side and was staring into an empty room. Once Yoongi became more enamored with his phone, he couldn't stand looking at the sight. Seeing his unrequited love admire someone else was too much for his heart. He knew he could never have someone like Yoongi. It was impossible, especially after he got a girlfriend.
But he couldn't say anything. After all, they were just friends, and Jimin didn't want to lose that. It was all he could ever have.
"It's okay," He whispered mainly to himself. He closed his eyes, drowning the sad feeling pooling within his stomach with tiredness.
He fell asleep repeating those words inside his head but was it really okay? That questioned rumbled deep inside him.
But just like every other time, he ignored it.

"Jimin, wake up." A voice called him out of his dreams.
Jimin grumbled. Waking up and facing reality didn't appeal to him. He wanted to sleep forever.
"Jimin.. Come on.." The equally tired voice of Yoongi said. "We have to meet up with the others."
"I don't want to," Jimin said, putting his head under the covers to block any light peaking through his blinds.
Yoongi groaned and flopped back down. "Me too, but we have to."
"Why?"
"Because they're our friends, and we promised to hang out today," Yoongi slurred in reply. He seemed to be falling back to sleep as well.
Jimin smiled, thinking of their friend group. He started waking up at the thought of seeing them. "Oh!" He exclaimed, pushing Yoongi off of his bed and jumping up.
He rushed to get ready. They were late, and he knows they'll be there soon to pick them up.
As though the universe heard his thoughts, there was honking outside of his house. "Come on. Let's go."
They both rushed out the door, Jimin locking it behind him. Going up to the truck parked outside, they shrugged at their friends, who asked why it took them so long.
"Well, hop in! We're burning daylight." Their oldest friend, Jin, yelled from the drop very seat.
That's all it took for the both of them to hop in the bed of the truck. Soon enough, the wind was rushing past their faces and through their hairs as they were on their way.
