GWEN AND I were touring a group at Oscorp. "Welcome to Oscorp. My name is Gemma Stacy."

"And I'm Gwen Stacy. We are seniors at Midtown Science, and also head interns to Doctor Connors."

"We will be with you for the duration of your visit. Where we go, you go. That's the basic rule. You remember that, you'll be fine." I explained, arms crossed over my chest.

"And if you forget that then-" Gwen began before we heard yelling from downstairs. We all turned our heads, seeing security throwing someone out. "Well, I guess we don't need to tell you what happens if you forget that. Shall we?"

Gwen and I led them upstairs to the laboratory. I pointed a finger as we entered the room. "Stand over here."

I stood at the front beside my sister as Doctor Connors greeted us. "Good afternoon, ladies."

"Doctor Connors." Gwen nodded her head and I sent him a smile.

He turned to look at the group, joking. "Welcome. My name is Doctor Curtis Connors. And yes, in case you're wondering, I'm a southpaw. I'm not a cripple, I'm a scientist, and I'm the world's foremost authority on herpetology. That's reptiles, for those of you who don't know. But like the Parkinson's patient who watched on in horror as her body slowly betrays her, or the man with macular degeneration whose eyes grow dimmer each day, I long to fix myself. I want to create a world without a weakness. Anyone cares you venture a guess just how? Yes."

A boy with glasses raised up his hand. "Stem cells?"

"Promising, but the solution I'm thinking of is more radical... No one?"

"Cross-species genetics." A voice said from the back. The crowd moved out of the way, revealing Parker. I glanced at Gwen in confusion as we both looked down at the list of names in her hands.

"He's not supposed to be here, Gem." She whispered.

"It's fine. I'll talk to him." I replied as Peter continued talking.

"A Person gets Parkinson's when the brain cells that produce dopamine start to disappear. But a zebra fish has the ability to regenerate cells on command. If you could somehow give this ability to the woman you're talking about, that's-that's, she... She's curing herself." I saw Connors stared at him in amazement.

"Yeah, you just have to look past the gills on her neck." One of the interns joked, and they had a laugh before the doctor made them quiet.

"Sh. Heh, a-and you are?"

"He's one of Midtown Science's best and brightest." I answered for him.

"Really? Oh."

"Yes, he's second in his class." I nodded my head. First was me and then him, though Gwen would have passed him if she was in the same class.

"Second?" Parker repeated.

"Yeah." I smirked.

"You sure about that?"

"Positive." I said before the doctor's phone went off.

"I'm afraid duty calls. I'll leave you in the more-than-capable hands of the Stacys. Nice meeting you all." Connors walked away as a hologram appeared in front of us.

"If you'd like to gather round." Gwen advised, stepping back as everyone did as told. I turned around, seeing Peter walking off.

"I'll be back." I whispered to my sister before stopping the boy. "Hi. What are you doing, Mister Gaveura?"

"Oh, yeah." He looked down at the badge on his jacket.

"What're you doing here?" I chuckled, hands in my pockets.
