"Cien flexiones. ¡Ahora! Ustedes dos." Del ordered. He was back to being the strict guy. Honestly, he felt embarrassed by his inability to hold his liquor. He did not ask about what happened at the welcome party. He didn't want to feel more embarrassed than he was already, so he acted strict. "No one would dare think about that night." He thought and chuckled, going on with his tough act.

Cecilia mumbled the words 'I'm sorry' to Kelvin before they started the push-ups. She did not dare to protest, so they obediently complied to the order.

After finishing a hundred push-ups, Cecilia was so mad. "Del definitely hates me," she lamented to Vera.

"Come on, chill." Vera giggled and rubbed Cilia's back as a form of soothing her pain.

Del warned them, using her as an example, not to be late again. He took out the weapons bag and gave each of them a gun. It was a real gun they would be using for training. Each of them had their own gun. They were not allowed to fire yet, but they trained with them. They were also not allowed to take them home. After five hours of training they were dismissed.

They trained for about a week before Charles brought a report. He reported directly to Del, so most of the team did not usually see him. The rebels were planning to attack the Deputy Minister of defense, Hon. Pablo Lopez's house. This was not the actual plan, because Wolf did not order it, but it was the rebels who were close to Wolf, who gave this order without his knowledge.

Charles could not report to his dad, but the only way he could stop those rebels was to report to Del.

Hon. Pablo Lopez's house was located in the capital, but it was closer to the war zone, so the rebels had an upper hand. Being the deputy minister of defense, he deemed it cowardice to leave his country when it was facing a great danger. He also advocated more on behalf of the people, but his plea was sometimes and mostly, thrown into the gutter. He was the Chief lieutenant's nemesis because he always questioned his decisions and plans, even though the Minister trusted the Chief with his very life. This attack was to eradicate him, but they had to make it look like a normal rebel attack.

That was Charles' report. Even though they were ignorant of the real reason of the attack, Charles knew his dad had no hand in it and always pleaded with Del on behalf of his father.

Del and his group set off for action the very day the rebels planned to attack Hon. Lopez's house. He took twenty of the freedom fighters (soldiers) and ten of his men to the scene. The plan was to make sure the deputy minister was safe and to capture the rebels who planned the attack.

Del and his troop arrived at Hon. Lopez's house very early that day. They briefed the deputy minister on their identity and on the pending attack that had being staged against him.

Five of the soldiers guarded the deputy minister and his family in his study, and fifteen other soldiers surrounded the whole house waiting in ambush.

Kelvin was disguised as the deputy minister with Vera acting as his wife. The rest of the eight, including Del and Cecilia, hid in other parts of the house, guarding Kelvin and Vera.

As Charles reported, the rebels arrived late in the night to attack the Deputy Minister. Kelvin, now the deputy minister, wore the deputy's clothes and glasses. He looked funny in his disguise, but he fit the deputy's size and he looked almost like him. He was sitting in the sofa reading a newspaper when the rebels loudly barged in. They numbered to about ten, wearing masked and armed with big guns. One pointed a gun at Kelvin and threatened him to bring out all his possessions, papers and money.

Kelvin obliged calmly, pretending to be terrified and led the rebel who pointed the gun at him towards where Del was hiding. Another rebel followed closely behind them, on guard. Del attacked the rebel pointing the gun at Kelvin, and Cecilia took out the one behind them. When the signal reached out, the house was surrounded in no time.

The rebels who tried to prove stubborn were shot and injured. Some of them survived, others did not. The ones who survived were cuffed and sent straight into confinement for questioning. Of course it didn't go down without a fight and one of the rebels managed to escape even though he got shot in the arm. He was very swift and cunning.

"What?!!" the lead rebels who sent the group yelled in anger.

"I think someone betrayed us," the rebel who managed to escape replied panting. He had lost a lot of blood, but no one attended to him.

The lead rebels then sent a report to Wolf, the actual rebel leader, that they think they had a spy in their midst. Wolf then conducted a search and grill. They searched and grilled every one of the rebels, but none of them seemed to have been the traitor. Charles had already covered all his tracks.

The first mission of the fighters was over and successful, even though one rebel managed to slip through their fingers. They succeeded in saving the deputy minister and his family. Some of them were bruised and shot because of the way the rebels wildly and carelessly fired their guns. But none of them were seriously injured. Those wounds would heal in no time.

"You looked good Mrs. Lopez." Cecilia teased Vera. Vera faked a laugh and excused herself. Her face was bruised and Cecilia wanted to treat it, but she politely declined. She did not want Cecilia to suspect her, neither did she want to hurt her by acting rude. Cilia agreed to let Vera go, but she insisted on waiting for her in her tent.

Walking away from the tent to a quiet place, Vera's eyes were bloodshot with unshed tears and anger. Everyone was excited, except Vera. "Hon. Pablo Lopez was a minister and he worked with the federal government, but he did nothing about these rebels attacks," she thought with anger boiling up inside of her. "Did he deserve to be saved? I don't think so," she glared.

Vera had always been angry with the rebels and the government, even with Del. The government could have taken quick action against the rebels, but they didn't. If they did, she wouldn't be an orphan and none of the awful things that happened would have never happened. She had to make them pay. All of them.

Del announced they would have a second mission. That is, if Charles brought another report. They knew that definitely, the rebel that escaped would send the news to his people. So they had to prepare for another mission. This was Vera's chance and she had to act quickly.

A/N: The fight was mind-blowing.
