"Okay...." Oliver said into the phone, but the line was already dead.
"Okay comrades, we have work to do. Prepare all the weapons we have in the storage. Tomorrow, hell will break loose," he said with a villainous smile.
Steve managed to sneak out of the ghetto without getting caught. ''Following these men will be the death of me," he thought, wiping beads of sweat off his forehead.
"Where the hell are you Charles?!" he cursed in frustration.
He saw a girl walking along the street towards that house; it was the closest to the ghetto. He remembered Charles staring at that house every time they went on an attack. ''Yeah, I think that's his friend," his eyes lit up. He didn't remember her name but he run towards her.
"Ermm...you're Ce... Cilia... right?" He stammered, but her name hit him once he saw her close-up. She was as beautiful as Charles described her.
"Yeah," Cecilia answered raising a brow.
"I'm a friend of Charles. I need to tell him something very important. Can you take me to him please?" Steve pleaded.
Cecilia did not know him, but she couldn't refuse him because the urgency in his voice was so genuine. It sounded like this 'thing' he wanted to tell Charles was really important.
"Okay, sígueme." Cecilia said to him and led the way. She was going home for something but she changed her route and led Steve to the camp.
They both walked in silence until they arrived at the camp.
"Anything you see here should remain between you and me, apart from Charles and any other person you see behind these walls.¿Comprendido?" Cecilia commanded and asked. She looked so different, with an air of authority around her. Steve was frightened of her at that moment, he just nodded as an answer because he didn't know how to respond.
"Good," Cecilia nodded and banged on the gates.
A few minutes later, the gates were opened after Miles peeped out to see who it was.
Steve froze the moment he entered the camp. He had no idea these people were also planning for war, and above all, Charles was here. ''How?'' he shook his head. He couldn't believe his eyes.
Cecilia walked ahead of him to call Charles. She couldn't wait until he had recovered from his shock.
"You have a visitor Charles," she announced and dragged him out. He was chatting heartily with Vera, and Vera made a face as Cecilia dragged Charles out. Cecilia just winked at her teasingly.
"Steve!" Charles exclaimed.
Steve finally snapped out of his daze.
"How...did...you manage to...to..."
...Relax." Charles cut him off. "I'll tell you everything," he assured and took him into the tent.
Charles narrated everything to Steve and he just stared blankly. For more than five minutes Charles, Vera and Cecilia waited for a reaction from Steve. When they finally decided he wouldn't ever talk again, he burst into laughter.
"So Oliver was right, there was a spy. And you're the spy," he looked at Charles in disbelief. "I now understand all that gibberish you said that night I spoke with you for the very first time. Your own rebel huh?" Steve chuckled.
The two girls looked at each other confused. They then turned to face Charles who smiled knowingly at Steve. Then, they looked back at Steve.
"I feel you man. I feel you," Steve smiled.
