Will Pov
We sit by the fire and warm ourselves. I started to think about the war again, even though I didn't want to, and then I remembered something.
"Malcolm, what did you want to tell me about that other way to end the war?" I asked him, remembering him.
''Oh yes! There is a way we can try to stop the war. So, first we have to wait to see if they will attack us again, if not then great. But if they are going to attack us again, then we have to attack them too. And we will only be able to beat them if we go to a factory where they work,'' he said.
''How far is that factory?'' I asked planning the trip, when Caesar agreed of course.
"About two days, but if we hurry we could get there in a day," he answered.
''But first we need to check the dam and the device,'' I said.
"Yes, we could do it today. If you agree Caesar?'' He replied looking at Caesar.
"Sure," he said.
After a few minutes, I stood up and separated a little from the group. I sat down on a stone and leaned against a tree. I breathed in the fresh forest air to relax. Then I felt someone sit down next to me. I opened my eyes and saw Caesar.
"Hey Caesar," I said as he settled down.
''Are...you...okay?'' He asked me and I could tell that his voice sounded worried.
"I'm fine, I'm just worried about how this will end," I replied.
''They....won't...win, apes...strong.....together,'' he said and I smiled.
I snuggled up to him and he put his hand behind my head. I relaxed even more feeling his soft fur.
"I'm sorry if this is too much for you and the apes, but I know we can stop it," I told him.
"We...can, honey," he replied, kissing the top of my head.
After a few minutes of caressing, we noticed that night had fallen. We went back to the team. After a few minutes of conversation, Caesar and I went to our room. We lay down on the bed and looked at each other. Caesar put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer to him. I blushed a little and put my hands on his chest.
"I love you Caesar" I said laying my head on his chest.
"I...love...you...too....Will," he replied and kissed my forehead.
After a few minutes, we fell asleep in each other's arms.
I woke up still in Caesar's arms. I smiled looking at him and hugged him putting my arms around his neck. When I noticed that he squeezed me gently, I knew that he was awake.
"Morning love," I said.
"Morning....love," he replied smiling.
We got up and ate breakfast. Then we headed to Malcolm and the other apes. Blue eyes came to me and jumped on my shoulders. I laughed fondling him. When Malcolm and his family got ready we headed to the dam with Caesar and a couple of apes who wanted to go with us. After half an hour of walking, we reached the dam and went inside. What we found was horrifying.
"What happened here?" I asked desperately not expecting an answer.
"That jerk! How dare he do this!'' Malcolm shouted looking at the crushed device.
''He ruined everything,'' I said sadly, looking around.
''No, no, no! This is not how it works! He thinks he can destroy everything, but he can't! We will prove him wrong and we will demolish that factory for the sake of this world!,'' he shouted angrily and I put my hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
"We're....leaving....today," Caesar said and we looked at him.
"We....will....destroy....the... factory,'' he added and we all smirked.
