9. The Pleasant Surprise

Okay! So in this story, Meera got 3 years of jail, Nandini Shubham lifetime imprisonment as they forged the will and Ishaan got Community Service and Psychological Counseling as he's a minor. Just wanted to clarify that.

1 month 3 weeks Later-

It was 7:30am in the morning when Ram's sleep broke. He smiled widely looking at his beautiful wife sleeping peacefully in his arms, wearing his shirt. He reminisced about their sweet lovemaking session of the last night and blushed deeply. He kissed her forehead lovingly and prayed for her and their child's wellbeing. Caressing her hair he started thinking how much his life changed recently. He sat up on his bed then picked up his diary from his bedside drawer and his pen then started writing.

"Shivi bachhe, another day it is. Without you. Hope you're happy where you are. You know it's a very special day for me and your Pri di as today we'll see our little one for the first time! Yayy! It's the day of her first ultrasound. She was telling me yesterday that if you were here today you'd have so much fun looking at the pictures as you found tiny things very cute. I know she's right.
(Letting out a chuckle)I feel happy today. Very happy and excited.
Therapy has been really helpful for us. Akshay has also started going for therapy. He told me it's going well. He has moved out of Sood house with his parents to another apartment recently. Sandy also moved out of there 2 days ago. It has been hectic for them.

He took some deep breaths then turned to Priya who was still sleeping like a log. Ram kissed her cheeks deeply. Priya stirred in her sleep and hugged him tightly making him smile goofily. He started placing wet kisses on her making her chuckle lightly.
Ram: Wake up Sleeping beauty.
Priya(whining, in a sleeping voice): Then you should wake me up like Prince Philip.
Ram smiled gleefully and kissed her lip making a sound. Priya smiled and opened her eyes.
Priya(looking into his eyes): Good Morning.
Ram: Morning.
He caressed Priya's tummy.
Ram(in a childish tone): Good morning Princess. Are you excited for today? We're very very excited to see you today finally.
Priya giggled merrily.
Priya(keeping her hand on her tummy): Baby your papa is super excited from last week when the doctor told us that next week she'll do the ultrasound. We're very very happy today. And you know he was literally jumping around yesterday in excitement.
Ram laughed at her words then kissed her knuckles.
Ram: I love you both with all my heart.
Priya: We love you too.
Priya sat up gently and kissed his cheek deeply then started stretching her arms.
Ram: You are okay na? Are you sore or any discomfort you're feeling?
Priya: No Ram! I'm perfectly fine.
Ram was still getting used to Priya calling him by his name finally from 2 weeks now. He smiled at her nodding.
Priya(sleepily): I'm hungry.
Ram: Yeah yeah. Go freshen up. I'm calling Tarun to come with our breakfast.
Priya(started counting mentally): Kitna kuch karna hai.
Then suddenly woke up from bed and went to the washroom.
"Such a weirdo she's become. But she's become very bubbly and cute that's nice. Par gussa bhi bohot karti hai aur roti bhi hai bohot zyada. Woh toh pehle bhi karti thi kaunsi nayi baat hai Ram. At least her appetite for food has become better......", he thought.
Just then he heard her from the washroom. He ran there and saw her throwing up again. He held her hair up and caressed her back to give her a little comfort.
After cleaning up,
Priya: Kal nahi hua tha toh maine socha aaj bhi nahi hoga. But again!
She hugged Ram who was caressing her head.
Ram: I wish I could help with this Priya. I'm feeling useless to be honest.
Priya: Uh huh...don't say that. You're taking care of me, being the best husband and father, helping me in every way possible. Don't be hard on yourself Ram.
She kissed his cheek.
Priya: Okay now get out. I need to brush my teeth.
