When Andrea arrived at the school, for the second time since the break started, she and Max walked ahead of the two boys as they spoke to Nancy.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Max questioned as they paced forward.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Maxine." She nodded stuffing her hands in the pocket's of the jacket. She rolled her eyes when Max gave her a look, which read, she didn't believe her at all. "I'm fine."
Max sighed before unlocking Miss Kelley's office door. "Nice jacket by the way." She gave her a smug look, swinging the door open.
It was only then, Andrea looked down and realised she was wearing the jacket Max gave her the other night.
As much fun it is having you gawk over her, we need to find more information to take him down.
She shook her head and cleared her throat, realising Valerie was right. "Sorry." She mumbled.
She followed the group that went straight to the file cabinet where student's data was. She frowned when she saw Max's hand over her sister's file.
Max looked up and noticed her discomfort. "Are you sure you wanna know what her file says?"
"Jesus, Max. I'm not a baby. I can handle it." She groans getting frustrated with the fact Max kept checking up on her every few seconds.
Max rolled her eyes at her. "Yeah, well you sure as hell act like one."
Andrea lightly high Max's arm, as a way to tell her to shut the hell up, before squinting her eyes at a familiar name. Max smiled lightly to herself as she watched the Cunningham girl. "It looks like Fred was also seeing Miss Kelley too." She picked up his file and waved it in the air as if it was a golden ticket.
Everyone exchanged nervous glances at the news they just received.
They quickly placed the two files on the table to see if they could find common factors.
Headaches, nose bleeds, nightmares. Andrea knew all of these symptoms were happening to her sister and still thought nothing of it. She couldn't help but feel a bit of responsibility as to why she was gone.
It's not your fault kid. It's He-Vecna's fault.
She closed her eyes for a second and took a deep breath before opening them again.
"Max! What is it?" Steve and Dustin yelled out to the dazed girl.
"Shit! Max!" Andrea started shaking her vigorously. "Max, cmon, snap out of it." She terrified staying calm but every second Max didn't snap out of her trance, the more she started to freak out.
Dustin was calling a code red on the walkie-talkie as Steve and Andrea tried to wake her up.
Thank god a few seconds later, a loud gasp was heard from Max. "Don't scare us like that Mayfield!" Steve let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank God you're not Vecna chow." Dustin sent her a small smile, happy she's very much alive.
Andrea stuffed Max into a hug and swallowed hard. "Max, I-I don't know what I would've done if you was gone."
Max pulled away from the hug and gave her a small grin. She wanted nothing more to kiss her, which was weird because well, Andrea was a girl but she quickly stood up once all thoughts of what just happened, rushed to her head. "The clock!"
"What?" Steve looked at the girl in confusion.
"I saw a clock in the hall. It was one of the big ones." She tried explaining what seemed crazy, as Nancy and Robin ran in.
