Chapter One: Eyes
Luke smiled to himself, looking down at the Sketchbook in his hands. He looked out the window again to make sure no one had found their way into his backyard to see him sketching in his window clad in white lace panties and a large white tank top that he'd stolen from Jack's room. Jack had always been bigger than him, but he didn't mind. He liked free access to clothes that hung loosely on him. He felt the burning sensation of eyes on him as he sketched. His eyes scanned the backyard to see nothing. He frowned to himself. He was sure someone had been watching him. He nearly fell out of the window when a bark from his dog Molly made him jump. He laughed lightly to himself. He'd been very on edge since his parents had gone on vacation the day before. That meant he had the house to himself for two weeks since Jack and Ben were away in college. He was grateful Jack had left some shirts he didn't wear anymore. It gave him plenty of opportunity to prance around in them like he had stolen them from his boyfriend which he didn't have. Molly barked again and jumped at the door wagging her tail. She wanted to come inside. Luke got down from his window sill and peaked out of his door. He knew he didn't have to worry about his parents seeing him in his brothers shirt and the panties he'd purchased in secret from Target. He remembered it like it was just the day before.
He'd started in the men's section, then moving to the boys section since he was so small. He found his eyes drifting toward the woman's section. As he pretended to browse through shapeless male attire, his eyes widened. A section of lacy panties seemed to jump out at him. They were beautiful. They'd surely make him feel beautiful too. Immediately he went to them, touching the delicate material between him fingers. He looked around frantically before tossing three pairs into his basket and rushing to the check out. His eyes darted between the four available registers. One was manned by a blonde boy. He was gorgeous but definitely looks judgemental. His name tag read Alex. Such a white boy name. Another was occupied by a tired looking middle aged woman. Surely her mind would be closed to the idea of a boy like himself to be buying lace panties. Her name tag read Tami. Wine mom name. A third was a middle aged man. Enough said. He decided his best chance would be the dense looking redhead at the fourth counter. He approached cautiously and set the basket on the counter, clearing his throat uncomfortably. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Panties?" She asked in a snarky tone. Luke gulped, wracking his brain for any excuse as to why he'd be purchasing such things.
"I- um, well my girlfriends birthday is coming up so..." he said nervously. The girl nodded in understanding.
"This was a good choice. They're so comfortable. I'm sure she'll love them" the girl gushed happily. Luke nodded.
"Oh that's good. I'm sure she'll look great in them" he laughed, attempting to use the same tone he'd heard straight boys use when demeaning women. The girl smiled flirtatiously.
"Well if she doesn't like them, just give me a call. My names Wendy." Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Okay." Was all he said before taking his bag and hurrying out of the store. He hid the red, white, and black panties in the back of his closet, not daring to tell his mother about them until the time was right.Luke opened the door just wide enough for Molly to come inside. He peaked his head out a bit, making sure if anyone was out there they couldn't see his exposed legs. He was sure someone was out there. There had to be. He could feel someones presence. He looked around, more closely than when he was in his window. There was movement from the woods behind his house. Luke froze in his spot but began laughing at himself when he saw it was only a bird. He shut the door and patted Molly's head lightly.
"You're such a good dog" he cooed. Molly wagged her tail and Luke placed a dog treat on the end of her nose. Molly waited until Luke nodded before snapping the bone shaped morsel into her mouth. Luke clapped for her and brought her upstairs with him. He shut the door and grabbed his phone and headphones, placing the buds in his ears. He turned on the sounds of Nirvana's Lithium. He hummed along lightly as he sketched a picture of a guitar. When he looked up again, he realized that it had gotten dark out. He stood from the window and stretched, revealing the white lace if his panties a bit. He shut the window, not bothering to close the curtain since the window only revealed him to the back yard. He pulled back the plain blue blanket and sheets with a slight frown. He wished they were a nice shade of lilac, or perhaps the same shade of blue with a few flowers. He settled himself into them comfortably and sighed. Maybe someday he'd ask his mother about new blankets. Maybe one day he'd ask her about panties, skirts, dresses, make up, boys. Luke looked at his ceiling in deep thought. Boys. He liked them. The thought of them at least. The thought of strong arms wrapped around him, a broad chest under his head, the smell of cologne to fall asleep to. Yes, boys seemed very nice.
