This is a teaser to my new fanfic Gothic its cashton af! Please check it out and give me feedback?

Calum feels a shiver travel down his spine as he waits. The tent before him is tall and sleek with black and white stripes travelling vertically down from top to bottom. He waits in the freezing cold to see the supposed best Circus around Calum feels his hands going numb even though they're covered by soft black mittens. Why in the world did he think it was a good idea to do this? Why did he think it was a good idea to tag along with his best friend Michael and his boyfriend Luke to this creepy looking circus in the dead of winter? He's such a sucker. He looks over and frowns when he sees Michael cuddled into Lukes side. It seems to make the chill in the air even more sub-zero than it was before.

"Are you excited?" Luke asks awkwardly, as its the first time he gets to properly meet Calum. Calum manages a small smile

"I'd be more excited if I wasn't freezing to death" he laughs. Luke and Michael laugh as well.

"Dont be a spoil sport, Cally it'll be fun!" Michael says Calum pulls his coat tighter to him, appreciating the thick fabric that clings to him.

"I'm not trying to be a spoil sport, Mikey. I'm just cold" he assures. Michael giggles a bit and nuzzles his head into Luke's neck. Calum finds himself frowning again at the sight. He's lonely to say the least. He checks his watch to see its 9:15pm. The show was supposed to start at 9.

"Why are we still out here?" He mumbles. What kind of circus starts so late at night anyway? Calum looks around seeing mainly darkly dressed goth looking people. No children or families are present at the so called best circus around. He gazes past the gates at the looming tent again. In scripted font sewn to the side it reads tenebris spectamen below it Dark Circus as a translation. What kind of name is Dark Circus?

"Lukey what time is it?" He hears Michael Whisper.

"Quarter past nine love" he replies. Calum sighs. He wants to go home. Or at least somewhere a little more sheltered from the cold.

"Do you think they'll let us in soon?" Almost as soon as the words leave michaels lips there's an eerie breeze that isn't cause by nature. It chills Calum to the bone in more ways than one. A voice makes the entire waiting and impatient crowd jump collectively.

"All viewers must have their ticket stamped before entering!" The voice calls. Everyone looks to the ticket booth to see a man taller than luke and twice as wide hunched over inside. People form a que, anxiously awaiting the start of the show that they've been waiting so long for. Michael squeals as they become the second people in line.

"I'm so excited, Lukey!" He whisper shouts. Calum frowns. He gets an awfully scary vibe from the place and wishes he wouldn't have come. When irs his turn to get his ticket stamped, he looks up at the man in the booth. One eye looks up while the othrr looks as t Calum. His forehead is almost as big as the rest of his face and his teeth jut out at the bottom. Calum gulps. The man hands Calums ticket back with a discreet whisper of

"Ejoy the show, Calum." Calums eyes go wide as he hurries to catch up with Luke and Michael. He grips Michaels arm and pants

"Michael that man he knew my name!" He excalims. Michael rolls his eyes.

"C'mon Calum cut it out" Calum pouts.

"I'm not joking!" He whines. Michael groans

"Just dont worry about it. He probably didn't even say your name. You're just worked up cause of how amazing this place looks" he says. Calum relaxes. Surely he was right. The man had whispered. Surely he hadn't said calums name. He took that moment to examine the large tent they had just entered. Its fairly dark and Calum can't see very well, but when he can see is unnerving. The seats are all smooth black metal, and the sound of cages rattling sounds from behind a curtain. Calum follows Michael and Luke high into the seats and begins to get nervous. Why does it feel so eerie here?

Calum sits next to Michael, scooting himself closer to him. Nothing here feels right. Calum begins to feel warm with his jacket on.

"Is there heat in here or something?" He whispers to Michael. Michael shrugs.

"Maybe. It feels like it." He replies. Calum undoes the buttons on his peacoat and pulls his scarf and beanie off. He stuffs his scarf and mittens insode hos beanie and his beanie into the pocket of his coat. No need for him to lose them in a place like this. He pulls the sleeves of his sweater over his hands and frowns. He doesn't like this place in the slightest. Something is wrong here. The single light that there is shuts off and calum as well as the rest of the crowd is left in conplete darkness. Calum finds himself clinging slightly to Michael. Michael shakes him off.

"Chill, Cally they just turned the light off" he whispers. Calum sighs. A slow hiss begins and it seems as if its coming from all around him. He whips his head around, trying desperately to see in the darkness of the tent. He swears he feels something snaking around his ancle and kicks at it. Hia foot doesn't come in contact with anything. It makes Calum more nervous. A light turns on, blinding bright pointing down to the center of the tent. Fog rushes from the stands, explaining the snaking feeling Calum had felt. It congregates to the center and then there's a man standing there with a tall green top hat and a soft looking brown coat with a red tie sitting slightly disheveled on his chest. He leans slightly foreward on a sleek wooden cane. He smirks, his almost yellowing skin pulling up to reveal eerily white teeth. They almost look sharp. His eyes have dark black rings all the way around and his hair sticks out in slight curls under his hat. Calum shivers. The man stands straighter and lifts his cane high above his head

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen!" His voice booms even though Calum sees no indication of a microphone. "Get ready" he spins in a quick circle "for the show" he begins swirling the cane in the air. "To begin!" The cane disappears.
