"You know, I'm starting to get the feeling Dad's avoiding us." Lamented Five with his lips pressed, the four of them looking forward to all the cars driving away.

"Hate to be the boring one guys but, uh, it's time we get the hell out of here." They were all sweating buckets... well except for Y/n that only run down the stairs at the end of all the charade.

"When you say 'we', Lila, who exactly are you referring to?"

"Not a lot of ambiguity in that sentence."

"Listen, I don't know who you are or where you came from, but whatever it is, I'd advise you return posthaste." Threatened Five. Y/n has never seen his face being so expressive, he had trust issues dripping out of every poor, but even her and Diego had to admit that she was way to good to be a nobody.

"She's right, Five. We gotta get outta here."

"I just saved your life, you kinder-shit. If I hadn't stepped in, all that would be left of you is a blazer and some bloody socks." Argued back Lila, Y/n was still holding Diego's hand but moved forward to also grab Five's wrist.

"Can't this go down later, at the car maybe?" Five ignored her, freeing his wrist from her grip, eyes always trained on the other woman in front of him.

"And that's the problem. You are too good. You ask too many questions. You know too much. And you fight like you know what you are doing."

"He's got a point." Diego's voice was low, and even if he didn't want to agree with his brother, the facts were under the spotlights.

"So I know how to handle myself, and that makes me the bad guy?"

"No, no. Y/n handled herself up there. But whoever you are, you're in my way. If I see you again, I will kill you." He swore walking ahead of everyone, the other two left there in front of Lila, absorbing in what just happened.

"I'll make sure he doesn't break the windows of my car." Whispered Y/n towards Diego, slowly leaving his hand, she earned a nod, expressing that he had understood, and she was off leaving the two 'lovers' handling the situation alone.

She got to the car just in time to see the guy hitting the roof with one punch, his body pacing back and forth because his mind was stuck on the thought of Lila being a danger to him and his family.

"I'm not gonna ask you if you are alright... because you do a great job at showing it... but I can offer you the car keys?" She asked making the key chain dangle from the hand that was not holding her shoes. Five looked at her and then at the keys, he offered his hand and she held it, the keys sandwiched in between their hold. "But only if you make me swing, one time." Five eyes hardened at that, his face snapping to the side irritated, his hand feeling like he was gonna let go.

"One time, please, I went to a gala and I didn't even dance, it's your responsibility as my date to grant me my only wish, one twirl and then we go." She insisted and he almost said no, her eyes were begging and he really wanted to drive that car, so after a good pondering he decided to give in. His response was silent like every other time. For being such a expressive person he was a deeply a pretty private one. She got pulled, their bodies colliding and than she was spun slowly.

"Wait, wait, i'll turn the radio on it feels sad without music." She said opening the car door, leaning and bending over the drivers sit to turn on the radio on the randomest song that thankfully wasn't too hyped. Her hand still holding tight on his.

"Do i really have to?" he asked, his brain ready to let go of the situation and just let her drive, not wanting to spend time in something so stupid.

"Yes, or I'm the one doing the driving back to Elliott's place." She said turning up the volume a little, Five smiled slightly at how innocent and naive she sounded. Finally she was out of the car again so that this torture would finally come to an end, her shoes left on the floor of the car. He made her spin one more time, hand falling on her waist for a split second before he pushed her softly to back up from him, he pulled her back towards him, she turned, his arm circling her waist.

"Never thought you would be a good dancer." She teased when she was back in front of him, his hands on her waist while her hands were on his shoulders.

"Well our dad insisted in learning a couple dances."

"Probably his only good decision." The two chuckled in each other's arms before Diego interrupted them.

"Let's go before I regret myself." He was so absorbed in what just happened to him that he had not noticed the position the duo was in, thank god. The two separated quickly, Y/n left the key to the man child that went back to being grumpy, they jumped in the car and back home they were.

Y/n had slept for a good 4 hours, she wished she had more time to do that but the persistent chatter upstairs gave her anything but peace, so she dressed herself up on the clothes of the day before, her normal casual clothes and went upstairs, hearing the words better then before, at least they didn't sound like gibberish anymore.

"That's pathetic" This was Diego's voice, but the one telling the tale was unknown to her.

"Yeah, well, at least he didn't shank my ass." Y/n walked inside the kitchen, staring at the big man inside Elliott's bathrobe, talking about Elliott there he was stopping beside her.

"No bro, he shanked your heart."

"Who's the guy?" She whispered after that 'overly sweet' Diego sentence.

"Luther." Was his short reply, not that he knew anything more then that.

"Look, who cares what he shanked? He knows something about time travel."

"That's a bit insensitive, Five, he's still your father and he still has a impact on the lot of you." Complained Y/n making her way in the kitchen to grab her usual dish, cereals.

"Umh..." Elliott interjected holding his hand up like in he was in school, the three brothers looking at him. "Why don't you just do your thing and, uh, time travel us out?" Five response was a annoyed sigh and a head tilt, Y/n glared at him from her spot in the kitchen, she was leaning on the counter, a bowl of her favorite food in her hand.

"Anyone care to explain?" He asked at his brothers standing up to get his first cup of coffee of the day, glancing at the woman eating cereals reminded him of having his breakfast.

"First time he tried, he got lost in the apocalypse." Said the big guy that was named Luther.

"Second time, he ended up without hair on his balls. Sorry Y/N" followed Diego realizing the insensitivity of his words only after voicing them. Y/n made a hand gesture signing that she was fine with it, at the end of the day she was a nurse, she had seen and done the unthinkable.

"Last time I tried, I scattered my family across three years in Dallas, Texas, possibly triggering a doomsday. Any more questions Elliott?" Asked Five sarcastic, Y/n cleared her throat, a silent warning for Five to back off the man, she didn't know if he understood it, but he better have. Elliot did deny have more question tho.

"So wait you care to tell me that you are not trying again because you messed up like.. what, three times?" She asked out loud not believing the words of this three buffoons. "How would you ever know how to do it if you don't try more?" Five sipped at his coffee not replying like usual, and Diego dismissed her bringing the focus back to Reginald being the almost capo of a sketchy government shit.

"Okay, can one of you go get Allison please?"

"You two still a thing? Do we need to talk?" Asked Diego taking the awkward role of the big brother that deals with his younger and inexperienced brothers.

"No, she's married" Whined Luther in a poor attempt to stop him from pushing his nose in his business.

"Whoa. Dude, that's rough."

"I'll get her. Can you get Vanya without, uh, squeezing her to death?" This question felt like a low blow too, and Luthers reply confirmed that it was a kind of passive aggressive question.

"Keys, Five." Y/n threw her keys at the kid and he was gone on the spot, after obviously catching them. Fucking teleportation thing. Elliott panicked for a second not knowing what his role was in all of this, Y/n walked up to him and rubbed his shoulder.

"We prepare for company, let's make the Jell-O you like to do every month."
