I heard a knock on my door and then it opened "Dad?"
I looked up seeing Romeo "Come in"
"You okay? I heard what she said to you"
"I'm fine Romeo. Quit standing in the doorway and come in"
He came in and closed the door then sat on my bed next to me. "She's stupid huh?"
I shook my head "She's not stupid. She's young and naive." I rubbed my face "She'll grow out of it. Just give her time"
"So when are you gonna go kill Julian? Can I come? I never liked him"
I blew out a breath "I don't think I will"
"What? But dad-"
"Rome is in love. Her first love" I looked at him "If I kill him. She'll hate me"
Romeo scoffed "No she won't." He looked at me "Where is Julian?"
"In the basement"
"Can I-"
"No" I said chuckling "No you cannot Romeo"
"I think you should talk to Rome now. It's been hours. She's pretty upset."
I shook my head "If she wants to talk she can come to me"
I looked over at Gina's picture and sighed. God I wish she was here. She would know what to do.
"Hey pops?"
"Yes?"
"What made you take us that day? And don't say it was love at first sight"
I chuckled "Honestly?" I looked at him and he nodded. I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed the picture of Gina and handed it to him.

"I still can't believe you bagged someone this fine pops" he chuckled
I looked at him and shook my head "You're a headache" I laughed
"So you're wife made you take us in?" He asked confused "I thought she was-" he hesitated "you know"
"Dead?"

"She died a few weeks before I met you two. Two days before her birthday. She would've been 29" I took the picture from Romeo "I met her not to far away from where you two stole from me" I looked at him and he smiled making me shake my head "She was working at a clothing store and my fucking driver had almost got into a accident. I spilled coffee all over my shirt, I had a meeting to be at in 30 minutes and I just told him to pull over so I could grab a shirt and new tie."
"So you went into the store she worked at?"
"Mhm" I smiled "She wasn't supposed to be working that day. She picked up a extra shift. Anyways I went in. Completely rushing, you know how much I hate being late. I bumped into her and when she looked up at me I couldn't speak. I completely froze"
