I sit on the edge of Riddle's bed as Draco is explaining something to Lorenzo, who looks just as confused as I feel.
Riddle is changing in the bathroom, while Theodore looks for something in the drawer of his nightstand. I turn my head toward him just in time to see him pull a condom out of the drawer, only to throw it onto the floor because it's not what he needs.
I allow myself to smile as I turn my head back around to the boys sitting on Draco's bed. Draco finally gives up with his story, and he gets up to knock on the bathroom door.
Lorenzo looks relieved when his eyes meet mine, and he grins. "So, Julia, what's Mattheo like in bed?" He asks, and my eyes widen. "Sorry!" He exclaims, his cheeks flushing red. "He's never had a girlfriend before, I don't exactly know how to get to know you."
I shake my head, ignoring everything he just said. "How long have you all been friends?" I ask stupidly. As Riddle's girlfriend, I should probably know this.
"Since first year." Riddle is the one to answer, and I look up to see him standing near the end of his bed, shirtless.
I've told myself a million times that I don't find him attractive, but now I'm having trouble convincing myself of that.
I barely get the chance to register that he's there before he puts his shirt on, and I force myself to look away from him. I hear Theodore mumble something about how it must be in the bathroom.
Do I know what "it" is? No. And I don't think I want to find out, either.
I look at Lorenzo again, and he's smirking at me. That's how I realize I'm blushing.
"Oi, Riddle, she's got it bad for you." Lorenzo says to his friend, not taking his eyes off me.
I roll my eyes and look over at the bathroom door again, hearing Theodore banging on it while trying to open the handle. Draco is shouting at him to fuck off. "Is it always like this?" I ask, looking between Riddle and Lorenzo.
They both nod.
I watch as Riddle walks past me and sits near the head of his bed, leaning on the headboard. I look over at Lorenzo, who walks over to his own bed and sits on it. "You know..." he starts to say, looking between Riddle and I. "Most couples aren't this awkward with each other."
"I noticed that too, when we were talking to them in the common room." Theodore says, just before Draco gets out of the bathroom and Theo slips in after him.
"Me too!" Draco says, standing by the door and looking at me. "Julia was anxious, and Mattheo didn't even try to comfort her."
I smile as I look over at Riddle, and his jaw is clenched. "Yeah, what's up with that, Riddle?" I tease, and he flips me off with his eyes.
"Awe look at them!" I look over at the boy as Lorenzo exclaims, smiling at us.
Draco walks over to his bed-which is between Riddle's and Lorenzo's-and sits on it, mirroring Lorenzo's smile. "They're so in loooove." He exaggerates the last word, and I hear Riddle inhale sharply.
I resist the urge to look at Riddle again.
I can imagine what he looks like, anyway. He's definitely glaring at Draco, ready to beat the shit out of him. I would think.
"Hey, dumbass?" Theodore says from inside the bathroom, and Lorenzo asks what's up. "What did you do with the thing I showed you yesterday?"
Lorenzo looks baffled, chuckling softly before replying. "You need to be a little more specific there, Nott."
