Lydia Pov:

I was at Stiles' house and we did our homework together.

"Do you think the plan will work?", Stiles asked me.

"Yeah, I think so. But just, if the Alpha shows up. Don't you think Sam is a bit strange?"

"Maybe a bit, but I like him."

"Why?"

"He seems nice. And he is a human."

"Yeah, he is nice, but do you really think he isn't Derek's brother?"

"He would have told us."

"Would he?"

"I don't know. Maybe you're right, but if we want him in our pack, we'll have to trust him."

"Yeah. We should."

"Lydia, we should go. It's already 9 p.m. and I don't know if my Jeep's going to make the way to the house.", Stiles interrupted the conversation. He got up from the bed and left the room.

Was he angry? I just told him that I didn't believe Samuel. I also didn't trust him. But I trusted Stiles, so I had to get to know Sam better. And I already had an idea how to do that.

I followed Stiles.

Stiles Pov:

I didn't trust Sam, but I liked him. He was a bit creepy, like Derek, but I didn't really care.

While Lydia and I drove to the Hale house, no one said a word.

"Hey, you're late.", Sam said when we got out of the car.

"Yeah, sorry, we discussed something." Lydia answered.

Sam raised an eyebrow and looked at me. I tried not to look at him. He then turned around. "The others are already there.", he meant.

We went to the others who stood in front of the house and discussed something. "Oh, hey, you're finally there.", Derek sounded annoyed.

"Ok, you know the plan? Then let's go.", Scott decided before anyone could start a fight. We all nodded and everyone expect Liam left.

Malia and I started talking while we walked through the dark with our flashlights.

"What do you think of Samuel?", I asked her.

"He is a nice guy, but a little bit strange sometimes."

Then I dared to ask the question that was spinning around in my head since I had talked to Lydia.

"And, uh, do you think he is Derek's brother?"

"Scott doesn't. And so do I. There sure are more families with the last name Hale in this world."

"Lydia said she doesn't believe him."

"I also didn't at first, but when Scott tested him twice I was sure he wasn't lying."

"Yeah, me too."

Malia turned and concentrated on her hearing.

"There's nothing around us except Liam, Derek and Sam. And your breath.", she turned towards me.

I looked at her with an innocent face and she rolled her eyes. I wondered how we could be such good friends after we had broken up.

Samuel Pov:

"Derek, where are we going? You seem like you know exactly where to go.", I told my brother.

"I just wanna make sure, it's not Deucalion or Peter.", my brother answered.

"Oh, I can help you. It's neither Deucalion nor Peter."

"How do you wanna know?"

"In the night where the photo was made I was at Peter's apartment. He is like best friends with Deucalion.", I grinned.

"Are you kidding me? They're friends?", Derek turned around and looked at me surprised.

"I'm not kidding. Ask Peter."

"Not now. But I will.", he concentrated on the forest again and listened.

"Why aren't you doing anything?"

"Derek, I haven't changed in years. Since I was 6, you know? Since the fire. Besides, nobody knows I'm a werewolf."

"Nobody will see you. Give it a try. Please. For Mum and Dad."

"DON'T YOU DARE SAYING THAT!", I screamed.

Now my brother was silent.

We went through the woods without saying a word.

"I'm sorry for what I said before. I didn't mean to mention them.", Derek apologised after some minutes.

"It's alright. It's not really about mentioning them, it's about the 》do it for them.《, I promised to make Mum and Dad proud.", I told him.

"Oh. And what's the problem about it?", my brother asked.

"I never did."

Corey Pov:

"Did you see anything yet?", my boyfriend Mason asked.

"Nope. Nothing."

"Who do you think has the best chance to find the Alpha? "

"Sam and Derek. Or Scott."

And in the same moment we heard Scott howl.

Mason and I looked at eachother.

"Yeah, we're going to die.", Mason said.

"No, we're not. If Sam hadn't died out here, we won't too."

"Wow, you can say such things easily, you're invisible, Corey. But I am not. The only supernatural thing I have ever done is to almost kill the people I love.", he told me.

"I know. But we won't die Mason."

He took my hand and we hid in one of the schoold busses.

Scott Pov:

We didn't have any luck in that night. There hadn't been a sign of the Alpha.

"McCall, hello, I'm talking to you!", Coach woke me up when I fell asleep in his lesson, "Are you sick? Because you look white like the wall."

The class burst out laughing.

"No Coach, I'm not sick, I just didn't get much sleep last night.", I explained.

He raised an eyebrow and looked at me, then he turned around and went ahead with the lesson.

We had decided not to search for the Alpha anymore, and everything got on well.

Until two months later.

*Two months after the full moon night*

Sam was a good friend of us now. He was a part of his pack and everyone, even Lydia meanwhile liked him.

"Morning Scott!", he came to my locker.

"Hey Sam."

"Um, can you do something for me?", he asked shyly.

"Yeah, of course.", I answered a bit confused.

He took my wrist and pulled me to the entrace of our school. I saw Sheriff Stilinski and Deputy Parrish talking to eachother.

"Tell me what they're saying. Please."

I nodded and concentrated on the noises around me.

"....we'll have to make a lockdown. No one is going outside after 9 p.m.", Sheriff Stilinski said.

"Sheriff, you know that Scott and his pack won't follow those rules.", Deputy Parrish.

"I will talk to them, but we'll have to protect the population.", Sheriff Stilinski answered. Then they walked towards us and Sam pulled me into an empty classroom. We waited until they had passed and sneaked after them.
