Me, looking at two oneshots I decided to start, along with the half-finished chapter I need to write by this week, and also the other 3000 words of this snippet: Haha I'm so great.

I wrote this back in 2021, and rewrote it now. The remaining 3000 words continued all the way up to the time reset, but a mix of spoilers and inconsistencies made me shelve it. But I liked this bit, so y'all can have it too!

Enjoy!

Queen Elhoharune of Hyrule – known simply as Elha by friends – was a good woman. She was kind and just queen, never seeing herself as above despite her status. Her presence truly inspired the best in people, for all the right reasons.

Though unreasonable to think the world could be held up by love alone, with Elha it really felt as if a possibility.

When she was seven years old, she attended her first gala. The young future-queen had little interest in extravagant parties, but she knew better than to complain, so she smiled politely at her parent's side until she could quietly slip away.

It would be at this party where she would fall in love; a deep preserving love, though not romantic at first. She would fall for a wonderfully loud boy, brash and excitable.

The early pleasantries had just finished, so she had slipped away from the party. There, Elha took refuge in a quieter corner, preferring to sit with her sketchbook rather than partake in the dancing.

She carefully drew the gala in the waxy colours of her favourite crayons. Her attention only moved from her art when a brunet boy approached, eagerly introducing himself and asking if she wanted to go play in the gardens.

Elha had flushed at his loudness before quietly refusing. Thankfully, the boy did not press any further, instead lowering his voice and asking if instead she would like to show him her drawings.

Delighted, she accepted. He sat down next to her and watched intently as she showcased each drawing, giving little hums to show he was interested.

Once the coloured pages had run dry, Emerick asked if he may sit with her for the rest of the gala. And so, he did.

The contentedness he had to stay and watch her draw, especially from a boy who obviously preferred to move, warmed her heart. She left the gala that night with a new friendship and a page missing from her book, signed and gifted to him.

For the next few galas, this pattern continued. The children would sit in the corner, where Elha would draw a before signing it and handing it tentatively to him. After, he would smile widely at her, a gesture she always returned.

Galas were a lot more fun with the company. She even began to relish in going to them, finding comfort in their little routine.

However, on their seventh gala together, the young princess decided to try something new. They sat down, but she did not star drawing. Instead, she set her sketchbook aside.

Elha asked with a soft grin if he would like to play in the gardens. His face lit up, and hers did as well.

She returned home from that gala with a bright flush across her cheeks. Attached to the end of a few small braids she did not have the evening before, were a simple bunch of white and purple flowers.

Throughout the years that passed, this routine would stay true. Sometimes they would sit and he would watch her draw, whereas others they would go out into the gardens, playing tag or even just laying on the grass and catching up.
