~•Chapter 38 : Will you marry me?•~

Gabb's POV :

I still have to know more about Coleen, hindi pwede na hindi ako mag-adjust, now I know some of her secrets.

I enter the room and saw that she was looking at a picture frame.

"Coleen?"

She look at me and suddenly put the picture frame away. Pumasok ako sa loob at sinara ang pinto, then slowly approach her and sat down beside her.

"Kamusta na pakiramdam mo?" I asked and touch her forehead, "Okay na ako.. I felt better." Sabi nya and I know na may konti pang lagnat.

"Kakain tayo after ni ate Abby magluto." Sabi ko and notice na grandparents nya ang nasa picture.

"Nami-miss mo sila?" I asked her and she nod at me, "But I don't want to visit them, I know I'll just blame myself." Sabi nya and show a sad expression in front of me.

"Coleen, listen to me. Hindi mo kasalanan kung bakit sila namatay." I said and embrace her, "Kung hindi, bakit ako lang nabuhay sa amin?" She asked at pinunasan ko ang luhang tumutulo sa mata nya.

"Sometimes may mga tao na aalis sa buhay natin, we just need to accept it."

"Hindi mo naman ako iiwan diba?" She asked and I kiss her nose, "Listen to me. Hindi ko mapapangako yan but I'll try my best every seconds na meron ako kasama ka." I uttered and then embrace her tight.

"Promise mo yan."

I nodded.

"Coleen."

"Ano?"

"Let's get married." Sabi ko and she suddenly look at me with a surprised expression.

"Seryoso ka?" She asked and I nodded at her.

I took the ring out of my pocket and show it to her, "Binili ko to last week. Coco buo na desisyon ko." Sabi ko at kita ko parin ang pagkagulat sa mukha nya.

"But we're married..!"

"I know.... But we both know na ang marriage na meron tayo is arrange by our families."

Then she cry again in front of me, I panicked thinking about the things na nasabi ko kasi baka na-offend o nasaktan ko feelings nya.

"Bakit? May problema ba sa sinabi ko? Sorry na.!" I panic when I said those words, ayoko na nasasaktan ko feelings nya.

"Gabb, please wag ka naman magbiro ng ganito.!" She keep on crying and I'm still clueless about it, "Hindi ako nagbibiro!" Sabi ko and wipe the tears in her eyes.

"Ilang weeks palang tayo and you're already like this..!" Patuloy syang umiyak and I think I already know what she wanted to say.

"Bakit? Are you afraid na baka saktan kita?" I asked and then she shook her head, "No! I'm afraid na baka pagnalaman mo lahat ng kahinaan ko, iwan mo din ako." Sabi nya and hearing those words make me feel guilt.

"Hindi." I uttered one word and continue to wipe off the tears in her eyes.

"Stop crying because it breaks my heart... Coco gusto kitang protektahan."

I show the ring again and directly look at her face, then gently take her left hand.

"Coleen Trinidad, Will you marry me?" I asked her and she pause for a while, by that sudden silence make me feel anxious.

Hindi ko alam kung i-re-reject nya ba?

"Yes!" She uttered and nod at me, showing me that bright smile.

Hearing that simple word made my heart skipped a beat, I was so happy that I embrace her tight.

Nilagay ko yung singsing sa left hand at sa fourth finger nya kung saan talaga nilalagay ang wedding rings.

"Coleen, I promise na hindi ka talaga nagkamali!" I said at hindi ko mapigilan na di maiyak sa sitwasyon.

"Thank you, for loving me." Sabi nya and I grab her face and then kiss her lips.

*Bakit ako kinikilig? 🤣*

Niyakap ko sya ulit at huminga ng malalim, baka siguro dahil sa sobrang excited ko, nawawalan ako ng hininga?

"Gabb, easy... Walang aagaw sayo." She said and I suddenly remember Josh.

"Pano si Josh?" I asked and then she hold my hand, "Gabb wala na kami ni Josh, okay? Maybe nanggugulo pa rin sya but I can assure you na wala na kami." Sabi nya and I sigh deeply.

"Teka? Paano si Ella?" Biglang nag-iba yung expression nya nung sinabi nya yun.

"Coco, wala na kami! Alam mo yan." I said and she just smile and nod at me, "Okay.. Hehe." She said and seems acting like a child.

I touch her forehead and realize na wala na syang lagnat, "Oh! Thank god kasi wala ka ng lagnat!" I sigh in relief and then hold her hand.

"Stop worrying. Wala na akong lagnat kaya hindi ka na dapat mag-alala, siguro yung pag-propose mo sakin yung naging cure ko?" Sabi ni Coleen and hearing those words make me smile widely.

"Happy ako na I'm the reason why you recover."

She embrace me and say, "Pwede bang ganito lang muna tayo? Kahit mga 10 minutes lang?" Sabi nya and I lie down with her in the bed.

"Kahit ilang oras pa yan, okay lang sakin." Sabi ko and slowly close my eyes.
