~~~~~~RECAP~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I-I-I was laughing at you because you were spying on me I heard the..." he tried to say in between his laughs but was quickly interrupted by a loud sound coming from inside my house.
that could be my mom. I saw her on the stool reaching for something in one of the top cabinets when I left .I glace over at Austin and noticed he was staring at me probably to see if he should be worried to.
I run into the house, through the doors and burst into the kitchen to find my mother on the kitchen floor just sitting there like nothing with her legs crossed over one another. She stared at me for a few seconds with a blank stare that only worried me more. The stool was lying a few feet away for her and the weird thing was is that she nor the stool was even near the cabinets. They were on the oppostie side of the kitchen. And unless she has Go-Go Gadget arms that she has never told me about, I don't think she could reach that far/ high up even if she was on the stool. " Are you ok Ms. Mayweather?" asks Austin , who I hadn't even noticed had followed me into the kitchen. Then I began to stare at him and notice that he looked worried. He only has met her a few times. Actually I think he's only seen her once. That was when Alex, Austin and me went to the mall. He's such a nice person. Even though he acts all tough and hangs around with tough people I think he's really a softie, always caring for others.
Austin snapped me out of my daze when he said something else "Staring again huh? You really should take a picture it will last longer... I mean I know I am just that irrisistably attractive but there is really no need to start drooling over my charm." I start blushing. My face feeling hot and im shure it was looking as red as a tomato which is just absolutely wounderful. I was trying to come up with a smart reply to annoy him and stop my blushing so he wouldn't start to laugh at me.
Then I hear a sound coming from the floor and quickly remember my mom fell like a clumsy old person she is and that she is the whole reason we are in here and also if it wasn't for her stunt Austin would be gone by now. " Uhhh ... " she mummers. Then she did something I had never in a million years had expected her to do...
she started laughing.
I knew she was crazy. I just really don't understand why she is laughing right now though. Like seriously. Who in the world fall's off of a stool at her age then stays on the ground like nothing then starts having a laughing fit!?
well...my mom does obviously because she just did...but still... who does that?!
I snap out of my thoughts and look at Austin to see that he is just as confused as I am right now. I guess I can't really blame him. My mom is really confusing sometimes.
"I thought I saw you get the stool and go to reach for something out of the top cabinet...but the cabinets are on that side of the kitchen," I point to the opposite side of the kitchen "and you're on this side" I say with a hint of confusion in my voice "the only thing you are semi-close to is the tiny window right there" I continue and point to the weird little pathetic window we have in our kitchen that I have found to be absolutely pointless because even though you can see out front you have to get a stool to be able to peek out there.
Then 3 things hit me that weren't good
1) I think she was spying on us
2)I still haven't figured out if she is ok even though she looks perfectly fin laughing even though she is on the ground
3)I really feel like some vanilla ice cream right now which is very rare because I looove chocolate.
After thinking it over I walk to our fridge/freezer and grab the tub of ice cream that I bought a few days ago when I was forced by my mother to go grocery shopping. Actually she did like the guilt trip thing, which is when parents try to make you feel bad to get you to do something.
Then I walked over to the drawer that holds all of our silverware and picked up a spoon. I looked at the spoon and realized how small it was so I reached back into the drawer and pulled out a bigger spoon just to make my life easier. I turned around and walked over to the island that we have in the middle of the kitchen that has dark granite counter tops and popped open the lid then stick my spoon in and shoving it into my mouth to let the cold sugary yumminess fill my taste buds.
I heard feet against the ground and my name being called "Ashley, what are you doing" Austin asked looking even more confused than he was before.
"uhh...what does it look like? Im eating ice cream you idiot." I say in a duh tone.
"What about you're mom aren't you worried? She fell off a stool and won't stop laughing" He says and I hear the faint laughter coming from my mom who is on the other side of the kitchen.
"well..." I begin "she does some crazy stuff...she always does and always has. Usually it leaves me really confused but over time I have learned to keep my mouth shut and just not ask..." I say remembering all of the interesting things that she has done on the past like sharing information that others didn't want to hear like that she has to pee or when she started randomly dancing and singing in front of people she doesn't know which tends to happen a lot.
