1. It's An Adventure I Can't Miss!

Later that evening...

"Please...??? Let me come with you. Please???" Amara whines as she begs her brother. She continues to follow him all over his room as he retrieve all types of items he might use on his trip.

Alec is packing his luggage for his week long stay overseas. He was to attend meetings in place of their father. Moreover, he intends to visit one of their garment factories in the country. He has already denied his sister a few times, though it breaks his heart. If it were his decision, he would have said yes right away. He can never say no to his sister. 

Amara sat beside his open luggage on the bed after feeling exhausted from following Alec all over the room in circles. She stared sadly at the pile of clothes her brother is yet to fold and organize. Alec came closer to drop the bottles of products he uses on the bed to prepare organizing them in bags and cubes. Amara looked up at him with teary eyes. He immediately looked away, trying really hard not to give in. He sighed as soon as his back was beyond Amara. 

"Ame... You know they will not consent to this," he told Amara as he entered his closet for the Nth time. "You have responsibilities here," he came out of his closet holding a few more coats and formal shirts in one hand. "Mom and Dad wants you to start handling things in the company, too," she rolled her eyes at that.

"Then, tell them I will start doing under you," she reasoned with so much intensity. "Tell them that you will start showing me the ropes," she picked up one of his shirts and started folding it. "Reason with them that it will make the transition easier for me," she ended softly.

Alec looked at her. She was staring at her brother more intensely with her teary, begging eyes and pouting lips. His shoulders slumped forward in submission. "Why do I love too much?" he asked her rhetorically.

Amara's eyes started lighting up along with her whole face. "OH MI GOSH! YES!" she screamed. "I knew you love me too much to resist me," she happily blurted as she jumped to her brother's arms. Amara laughed as she firmly wrapped her arms around her brother's sturdy torso and showered his face with kisses. She felt her brother sigh before letting out a chuckle while patting her head. 

"You better start packing your bags before I change my mind," Alec warned her. She immediately let go of her brother, but gave his cheek one last kiss before running out of his room. Alec can't help but shake his head at his little sister before returning to the task at hand.

Amara immediately took out the largest suitcase from her closet and set it atop her bed. she returned to her closet and took out a few pieces of clothing she thinks she can wear both formally and casually. She also took out a few neutral-colored coordinates she can play around with. She was putting her play clothes in a packing cube when her brother peeked at her door. She smiled at her brother as she zips the cube close.

"I'm going to talk to Ma and Pa," he began. "I'll text you once they agree," she nodded and beamed at her brother. Alec shook his head before walking away from her door.

"Remember I love you, Kuya!" she shouted after him. All she heard is his snort, a chuckle and his retreating footsteps as answer. 

She shrugged it off and continue with her packing. She took out a few pieces of swimwear from her closet. Amara wanted to persuade her brother to go to the beach on an off day or before they come back. If Alec disagrees, she'll use it to take a dip at the hotel pool instead. She stuffed the pieces of swimwear in another smaller packing cube and placed it inside her suitcase. 

Amara was busy stuffing her beauty products in a pouch when her phone lit up and gave a chime. She noticed it was a message from her brother and immediately opened it. Amara cannot help but squeal at her brother's message because of joy.
