The Art of Letting Go

chapter 5

"Where are you?" He asks.

"Where my grave is"

I unfroze my space of time as he came running towards me.

He was pale. Well what could you expect? He had just heard a ghost.

I froze time again so it was just us. Before I hesitantly removed my disguise.

"Mia?" his voice broke. I had expected anger. I had expected yelling. I had not expected crying.

"Hi..tommy" i forced myself to speak.

"How did you do it?" he starts before he stops "Second thought i don't care. Why did you do it?"

"Coin threatened me. All those years ago. I was a threat to her. So she threatened all of you." I explained.

"Coin was killed a few days later" he snapped

"I didn't know" i shook my head "I left straight for choas' relm. And i haven't returned here since"

He just stared at me again before he did something i didn't expect. He hugged me.

And i found myself hugging him back. And crying.

"We have to tell the others" he said pulling back. My eyes widened and i shook my head quickly

"No please. Don't. I can't stay. Not when i have to see those two together every day" i said.

That was when i spotted the giants at the top of the hill.

"Look we can sit here discussing this all day. You can yell at me. Or we can go see what those guys want" i said before changing my appearance back and unfreezing our space of time.

"Please. Don't tell. Atleast not yet" i begged. He nodded stiffly. Which was all i needed before i walked down the hill again yelling for the warriors.

By the time we reach the giants we're all suited up. I grip my knives tightly. My bow was slung over my shoulder along with a quiver of arrows and my sword was in my belt. It probably seemed heavy but it was actually made out of metal that was as light as air.

"We are here to make a deal" Damasen announced. How they got him to help i didn't know.

"Funny. I remember you were on our side the last time" i called back

"Who is this impudent, disrespectful..." Porphyrion starts

"Commander of chaos' army" i smirk as even he pales. "Oh so you have heard of me?"

For a moment no one spoke. The giants seemed almost scared.

"But we will listen to your proposition" i say.

"You surrender to us. And we will let your little town live." Damasen finally says

"Not happening" i reply

"Then we will crush you" Porphyrion snaps

"Like i haven't heard that one before" i rolled my eyes "Now you go tell the others there won't be a deal"

With that i turn my back on them and started down the hill.

"Way to go Mia" Thomas yelled before he paled himself.

"Seriously tommy. Did we not just talk about this" i snapped as all heads turned to me.

"Oops" he muttered
