"Werewolves are real!" Bucky exclaimed once we got back to City Hall. "I always, always said the stories of monsters in the forest were real. And no one believed me!" he pouted, sucking his thumb. I rubbed his shoulder for reassurance.

"I thought werewolves were just myths," Stacey said behind me. "Yeah, like cavities." JC added. The other Aceys, Bucky and I all looked at him like he had two heads. "Those are real too?!" he cried.

"Werewolves, ew! I really hope my allergies don't act up." Lacey shuddered. "As long as one doesn't come near me," I spoke. I noticed Aunt Missy walking in with Addison and Uncle Dale, just as Bucky ran to them, me in close pursuit. "I'm okay." Addison tried to tell them.

"Aunt Missy, Uncle Dale," Bucky started. "The crash was horrible, but we protected Addison. Anyone as courageous as us would've done the same. Though not really, I am super brave." I smiled and put and arm around her. "You were the first one out the bus and fainted." Addison replied sourly. I snorted.

"Mom, Dad, everything is fine." Addison assured. "It's not fine. There are werewolves circling us right now, waiting to attack." my uncle barked. "Yeah! And I'm way too tasty. I'm always looking like a snack." Bucky smirked. "Somebody has to do something."

"And someone will. Hold my purse." Aunt Missy finally chimed in, shoving her in my chest as she walked to the podium. She slammed a gavel down until everyone was seated and quiet.

"By order of city council, effective immediately, all anti-monster laws are reinstated." A cheer of applause erupted from the crowd, humans more excited than zombies.

"Mom, that is unfair!" Addison fumed. "Zip it." Aunt Missy mouthed. I jumped up and went over to Addison just as Zed did the same. "Tough luck, Addy." I smirked as she turned to her zombie boyfriend.

"Zed, we need to talk." she said. Zed began. "We do. Even though you didn't write or answer any of my letters-"

"No, I wrote! A lot." she held up the pom-poms the Aceys gave her. "The Aceys shredded all of our letters." I smiled gleefully at Zed and the Aceys, who were taunting from afar.

Suddenly, Zed smiled and went down on one knee. I choked on my gum. "Addison. Will you make me the luckiest zombie and be my date to Prawn?" he smiled giddy.

"No." Addison simply answered. Choked on my gum again. "Great- no?" Zed's smile fell. For a split second, I actually felt bad for the guy. Very split second.

"Everyone's freaking out about werewolves, so the anti-monster laws are in affect again which means..."

"...zombies can't go to Prawn! Ouch." Bucky and I said in unison, high-fiving over Addison's head.

"But we're gonna fight this Zed." Addison spoke determined, ignoring us completely.

Rude.

"Okay, so that's why you said no?" Zed asked.

"Yeah." Zed smiled all giddy again.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Because when you said no, I thought you didn't like me anymore. But the only problem here is a bunch of blood-thirsty werewolves. We can so fix that." he smiled.
