"With cheer fans in Bucky's camp, and zombies and the football team in mine, the school's split down the middle." Zed explained to Eliza and I. "Werewolves are the swing vote."
"Wolves are the key to winning this election." I replied. "But you know winning over the wolves is going to be hard." Eliza finished. Zed nodded. "Trust me, I got this. We're going to win the wolves' votes, and more. We just have to show them how to fit in, like us."
Suddenly the bell rang, where the wolves howled loudly in response, causing Zed and I to jump. The hall dispersed as we watched the wolves walk off.
"Easy." Zed sighed as they walked to class and me to the library.

"Thanks for helping Zed with his campaign while I work out this whole cheer captain thing," Addison smiled as we navigated through the aisles of books.
"No problem." I suddenly stopped and walked back to find Wyatt looking at Addison, mainly her hair. Addison joined me and flipped the book around because he was "reading" upside down. He chuckled at us before we both walked back around the corner, Addison saying "Okay, this is a little weird."
Like yeah, no kidding.
I heard footsteps behind us to glance and see Wyatt not-so-subtly following us, so I pushed Addison to move faster with some protest.
We found Bree sitting down writing before a girl wolf who's name I found out to be Wynter ripped the page out and ate it. I grimaced.
"That dog just ate my homework!" Bree cried. I laughed behind my hand to see how the teacher's going to react that excuse.
Willa slammed books across the table as Addison and I sat down.
"Lies!" she hissed. "These books claim werewolves attacked Seabrook settlers but they struck first and stole our moonstone." she said angrily. I frowned. "Really? My parents always told us wolves struck first." Bree nodded.
Addison looked at Willa sadly. "I'm sorry I didn't know that." Willa glared at her. "There's a lot you don't know." She grabbed the the books and began to walk towards the exit.
"I know alarm's going to go off if you don't check out those books!" Addison called. Willa yanked off her necklace and threw it at the alarm system, it sparking and shutting off. I grinned. "I've gotta get me one of those!" I said as Willa retrieved her necklace before walking off.
"Our necklaces have a way with electronics." a male voice whispered in my ear. I jumped back to find Wyatt smirking at me. I could feel the heat rushing to my face as him, Wynter, and the other wolves followed her. I buried my nose in my book to try and prevent Addison and Bree from seeing me blush, but it was too late.
"Someone's got a crush on Wyatt," they sang as I covered my tomato face with my hands.
"Shut up." They burst out laughing.
*Zombietown*

"Useless!" I fumed. "None of these history books say where the moonstone is hidden."
The pack and I were sitting at a table in Zombietown, trying to find the location of the moonstone.
"Hello, wolves. Allow me to introduce myself." three zombies came up to us. The male one held out his hand.
"I'm Zed, zombie, football star, presidential hopeful." he chuckled at the taller girl.
"...Okay." I said bluntly. Zed pulled his hand back. You could cut the awkward silence with a knife.
"I'm Eliza." the taller girl introduced herself. "That's Zoey." she pointed at the other girl. "When zombies first came to Seabrook, we were outsiders too. Which is why you need a great president like Zed to represent you." she smiled awkwardly. "We'd be honored if you'd join us."
"Our pack...is our pack." Wynter stood up. "We don't need anyone else, so..."
"Who doesn't want more friends?" Zoey piped up. "Underneath all that fluffy hair, I bet you're a real softie." Oh no, she didn't.
Wynter bent down to Zoey's level and snarled at her. "I am a mean, mean werewolf, kid. I am tough and rough."
Zoey laughed. "Aww, you said 'ruff!' Like a little puppy dog." She started barking. Wynter scoffed.
"We are beasts of the forest. We will never be tamed!" Zoey started scratching her behind her ear and Wynter sighed happily and sat back down.
I slammed my hand on the table and stood up. "We're nothing like you zombies." I snarled.
"You sort of are," Eliza responded. "Your necklace is powered, right? Kind of like an organic Z-band."
"You're smarter than he looks," I said flatly. Eliza smiled and thanked me while Zed looked offended.
"That necklace keeps you from fully wolfing out?" he asked, reaching for my necklace. "The opposite." I said, smacking his hand. "Our moonstones make us our true werewolf selves." I responded.
"So without it you'd be human?" Geez, this kid won't let up!
"No. We'd die." I snapped. "We'd be nothing."
"Imagine how alive you'd feel if you didn't have to tamp things down." Wyatt spoke. "Hold back you're true selves."
"Actually, I've got this theory that zombies might've evolved beyond their need for Z-bands." Eliza told us.
Zed perked up and gestured to his Z-band. "Z-bands are great. They help you fit in. And I think you guys would have a much better time at Seabrook if you just followed in our footsteps."
"Join a club, play football, I'll even teach you how to tackle," Zed told us.
"Just lighten up."
"Be more like us."
