Chapter 1
It was early in the month of October. The smell of fallen leaves, baked cookies from the next door and dry cool breeze in the well ventilated room marked the arrival of Autumn.
A scrawny, dark skinned seventeen year old teen named Leo, sat next to his table covered with tools and blueprints, trying to figure out the flaws in a circuit of his new project. “Oh no ! It should have been the other way round”. After a few more tries, a red LED glowed and the tiny mechanical robot came into life with a beep beep sound. Leo's mischievous dark brown eyes gleamed with happiness. He stressed out in his chair and sighed with satisfaction and relief after attaching the last few pieces of wires and resistors to his device.
“I can't believe this took me more than an hour,” he said, wiping the sweat off his forehead and neck. From what he remembered,he had started his work at 5pm and by the time he finished it was already dark outside.“I promised Percy to be a bit early but now it seems that I will be just in time for the party”. He glanced at his phone screen to double check the time. But to his surprise ,he was already late by TWO HOURS!.. He was so deeply indulged in his project that he had almost forgotten about the passage of time..Now there were over 30 voice messages from Percy and Jason( his best friend) ,asking him about his current location. “Oh Gods! This guy is gonna kill me for being late again”.He quickly grabbed his jacket from the nearest chair, brushed his curly brown hair with his hands and rushed to the garage.
