Chapter 2
Leo drove his car through the deserted one way at a very high speed. Arriving late at Percy's party , missing a delicious dinner and cleaning the dishes as a punishment were the things he was least interested in, after such an exhausting day.
He was about to reach his destination when he found another message pop up on the screen. It was from his other BFF Piper. "Why are you so late ,man? Did you decide not to come at the last moment? The boys are waiting to punch you in the face.", it read. He hurriedly replied with the voice message saying, "On my way, Beauty Queen ! I had some things which needed to be sorted out immediately before the next semester in college.( he made an excuse) Will arrive soon."
By the time Leo kept his phone and concentrated back on his wheels, he experienced a sudden jerk which was followed by a huge CRASH sound. He lunged forward but was lucky enough for wearing his seat belt that prevented him from being yeeted out due to the inertia.
The young man was taken aback at first. It took him some minutes to come back to his senses and realise what had just happened. He leaned back on his seat , closed his eyes, tried to slow down his breathing and calm his mind. When his head cleared up a bit, he carefully thought about the situation he was in. He was hit by a car. Or maybe he was the one who did it. He wasn't injured anywhere but his fingers were still trembling.
Couple of seconds later ,he heard a girl's scream from the car he had just bumped into. He quickly got out to help the person in distress. He pulled open one of the doors and held his hand out for the girl. Hesitantly, she grabbed his arms and jumped out of her car.
