The next day, Ariana was catching up with her chores. She cleaned her room and did her laundry. In addition, she helped Meguru clean the living room. She went to the store getting the ingredients that Meguru wanted, and got snacks for Shiki because he asked. "I'm back." Ariana said coming through the front door. "You got the ingredients?" Meguru asked. "Yes, I did." Ariana said handing him the bag. "Thank you." Meguru said. She spotted Shiki in the living room. "Shiki." Ariana said walking towards him. He turned his head to her. She put her hand in the bag and got out snacks. "This is what you wanted, right?" Ariana asked. "Thanks." Shiki said. "Today just flew by so fast compared to yesterday." Ariana said. "Your sister's wedding is coming up." Meguru said. "Yeah, it's on Friday during the evening. All day that day. I'll be getting myself ready and making sure my wrapped gift is still in perfect condition." Ariana said. Meguru's eyelids dropped and so did Shiki's. "I hope you have fun at your sister's wedding." Meguru said. "I will." Ariana said.
The next day, Ariana still had the day off while everyone except Shiki left for work. They were watching T.V. together. "Do you like to watch the Walking Dead?" Ariana asked. "What's that?" Shiki asked. "It's about zombies, and people are trying to survive, but many of them die." Ariana said. Shiki was silent for a moment. "I want to watch it." Shiki said. "Figures you'll say that." Ariana said and changed the channel. People were firing guns at the zombies. "It has a great storyline." Ariana said. He was watching the show showing interest. "I like it. It's not boring." Shiki said. He slowly layed his head on her shoulder. "Are you getting tired?" Ariana asked. "A little." Shiki said. "Ok. Feel free to fall asleep. I'll be here." Ariana said.
The next day, it was off to college. She was done eating her breakfast, and put her plate in the sink. "Thank you Meguru. I'll see you later." Ariana said and went out the door.
After her drive, She was walking on her way to class. "Oops." Someone said knocking her stuff off her hands. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." One of them said. "When you harass someone, that means you feel really insecure about yourself, am I right?" Ariana asked. Their devious smiles turned into confused faces. "You guys see me as some easy target, but in reality, you realize that the easy target is yourselves. I'm not going to react back for your amusement." Ariana said. They looked at one another. "Wow... That was brave of you, Hanasaki." One of them said. They all kneeled down and helped pick up her papers. "Here." One of them said. She received the papers from each of them. "Thank you." Ariana said. "We're sorry that we have always bullied you. We'll leave you alone from now on. You're right... We are insecure. Can you forgive us?" One of them asked. "Yeah, I forgive you." Ariana said. "Thanks, Hanasaki." One of them said.
They all walked away and she was on her way to class again. "Hanasaki." Kakeru said. She stopped and turned around. "I just saw what happened, and... I'm proud of you." Kakeru said putting his hand on her head. "Thank you. I took your advice and stood up for myself." Ariana said. "See? Now they won't bother you anymore. You can finally have a peaceful school life." Kakeru said.
During class, Hiro kept looking at her notes. "You need this?" Ariana asked. "Yeah. I didn't write anything down the other day." Hiro said. She sighed. "That explains why you got temporarily kicked out of art school. Sure you may be great at art, but you also need to do your general education." Ariana said. "I know and it's total bogus." Hiro said. "Wow... I didn't know you were the type to say 80's slang." Ariana said. "I like speaking like that. It's totally fresh!" Hiro said. "Nothing wrong with that. It's cool." Ariana said. "Hey Ariana, do you have anything planned for Friday?" Hiro asked. "Yeah, I'm going to my older sister's wedding." Ariana said. "I'm going to my good friend's wedding on that day." Hiro said. "Nice. Have fun." Ariana said. "Same to you. Wouldn't it be funny if it were the same wedding?" Hiro asked and laughed. "That would be funny." Ariana said trying to contain her laughter.
The next day, it was the last relaxing day for Ariana. Shiki came through the front door with a bag in his hand. She turned around on the couch. "Hi. What do you have there?" Ariana asked. "A prize." Shiki said. "Oh cool." Ariana said. "Yeah." Shiki said. "Do you want to play a video game with me?" Ariana asked. "Yeah. Wait a minute." Shiki said and went upstairs.
A few minutes later, he came back downstairs and she had the video game prepared. "We're going to play Super Smash Bros." Ariana said. "Ok." Shiki said. "Do you know how to play?" Ariana asked. "No." Shiki said. "I'll show you how to play." Ariana said.
After teaching Shiki how to play, they already played several rounds. "You are good at this. You have more points than me." Ariana said. "Catching up." Shiki said. "What?" Ariana asked. "You're catching up." Shiki said. "Oh yeah. You haven't changed your character once. Do you like that character?" Ariana asked. "Yeah, he's reminds me of a cat." Shiki said. "Do you like cats?" Ariana asked. "Yeah." Shiki said. "You're kind of like one." Ariana said. He said nothing. "I say that, because you avoid crowds and you really like sleeping. Not to mention, you like to cuddle up." Ariana said. He slightly blushed. "Stop distracting me." Shiki said. "I'm just saying..." Ariana said.
Thursday came, her second to last day. She looked around the college. "Well... This is my last day here on campus. Might as well make the best of it." Ariana said quietly. She entered class with a smile on her face. "Good morning, Hanasaki." One of her classmates said. "Good morning." Ariana said. She sat down in her seat, preparing to take notes. "Mornin' Ariana!" Hiro said. "Good morning Hiro." Ariana said. "How have you been?" Hiro asked. "I'm alright. I'm excited for tomorrow." Ariana said. "Right. Your sister's wedding. Hope you have fun." Hiro said. "Thank you. I hope you have fun at your friend's wedding also." Ariana said.
After class she went over to Kakeru. "Do you need a ride back home?" Ariana asked. "Sure, thanks." Kakeru said.
At dinner, everyone was eating in peace. "Everyone." Ariana said. They all stopped eating to look at her. She inhaled and exhaled. "You're all well aware that this is the last dinner I'll have with you. And so I just want to say... Thank you so much for everything you've done. I won't let my last moments be a sad one, so... Please don't be sad when the time comes tomorrow." Ariana said. Knowing that it was all going to happen tomorrow, they all had long faces.
After dinner, she went into her room. She took her medication and drank a gulp of bottled water. She looked at the developed picture of her, Meguru, and Shiki behind the sandcastle they built. She picked the picture up from her desk. "Thank you for the memories, you guys. I just have one more thing left and that'll be it." Ariana said.
