*note - this was written in a rush to explain to a friend how they got together. It's not my usual writing style, which begins on the next chapter.
They started off as friends at their university. While Milo was into the sciences and was working on a PhD in wind dynamics, Corym was into literature and spent much time learning different fighting techniques, especially with news of the upcoming war.
They were around each other often, especially after Reyna broke up with Milo. One day, to get his mind off of things, Corym invited Milo to a small party he was hosting. Though the evening was fun, Milo mostly stayed silent in a corner, only sometimes talking to people he recognized.
Milo fell asleep on Coryms couch while people were still around. In the middle of the night, he woke up screaming from a nightmare, as often happened. He never understood why the dreams felt so real
This woke Corym up and, without hesitation, he joined Milo on the couch and held him close, whispering that things were OK, that he was awake now, giving him a soft little forehead kiss just because it felt normal. Once Milo calmed down, he kissed Corym shyly, thanking him, and wished him goodnight. It felt just right and normal. They woke up together in the late morning, Milo only then realizing what happened and blushing like crazy, and both of them laughing, and had been together since.
They fell together, like puzzle pieces.
