WRITER'S NOTE:
First off, thank you to all you wonderful people that have taken the time to come this far with me.
I still have a very long way to go.
I'm really sorry if the story has sucked thus far, I'm only going by what people have said. The only complaint I've had was that my chaps need to be longer. I think I have mastered that one on this chap.
Also, I need some more feedback! Pretty please? I need to know how you guys like the story and what you think about it.
What would do you think about Briar?
Thanks!!!

"Pictures really don't do us any justice." DJ said.
"And this candlelight is just bad lighting. It does nothing for my complexion." Lou added.
I sighed, "I guess I'll have to wait until the lights come back on."
Curiosity was starting to get the best of me. I could see their figures and a little of their facial structure but, not good enough to be able to identify them out in public.
"That won't happen until sometime in the early morning." Lou said as he read a text message.
"Haz said the lights are out at the hotel as well. The electric company is working on restoring the electricity but, they are having to replace transformers and fuses...and probably some willy-dads and nic-nacs too."
"What are willy-dads?" I giggled
"They are those things that usually fix everything. You know whats-its." Lou emphasized.
I laughed. Lou was hilarious. I bet he was the funny one of the family. DJ seemed more of the smooth, strong silent type. He was just as wonderful as Lou but, more serious.
"So, we should have Haz come get us....before we wear out our welcome." DJ said kind of on edge.
"Nonsense!" I proclaimed, "You can stay the night here. Someone can come get you in the morning."
I really didn't want anyone else to have a wreck. DJ and Lou were lucky they didn't get hurt when they hit the telephone pole. The next person might not be so lucky.
"Briar is right. We will have Haz pick us up in the morning. It's getting worse outside and we don't need to have two vehicles in the shop to get fixed." Lou said cheerfully.
I smiled. Another reason was because I didn't want to be alone in this house while it was storming. I really hated storms.
"We really need to..." DJ tried to protest but, I cut him off.
"I insist. It's not an inconvenience at all. I live in this house alone so, I have extra rooms, blankets, and pillows." I said.
Ella always stayed the night with me. She is actually the reason I had a lot of extra blankets and pillows. We would have girl's nights and invite a few of our friends over for a sleepover. The blankets and pillows would cover the living room floor. My house would smell like fingernail polish and a mixture of junk food and perfumes for a week.
