Neon Lights

Chapter 5._.

I blinked open my eyes and stared blankly at the white ceiling, "ugh!" I exclaimed as my body felt weak and I couldn't say a word.

"Akiko-chan!" I glanced to my left to see Mikan with flowers, a bright smile on her face. I smiled back and wanted to say something but something was preventing me from speaking and pain engulfed me entirely.

"Akiko don't strain yourself!" I looked to see Narumi sensei beside Mikan, his face worried.

I suddenly remembered Natsume. He looked pale and shocked. But I hope he's okay after what happened.

"Is Natsume Okay?" I whispered raising myself to free my body from the pain.

Narumi looked at me surprised and then his expression softened.
"Natsume is okay. He's resting in his dorm."

{Natsume's P.O.V}

I peeked through the infirmary door, "Natsume is okay. He's resting in his dorm." Narumi sensei said to Akiko. She gave a small smile and stretched her arms.

Why was she asking about me?
She shouldn't have done 'that' in the first place, then I would've been alright.

I walked away my hands tucked into my pockets. She makes me angry.

"Natsume!" I look to my right to see Ruka running to my side.
"Have you gone to see Akiko?" He asked, panting.
I kissed my teeth.
"Why would I want to see her." I replied coldly and Ruka pouted.
He was probably worried about Akiko.

Ruka is Ruka. He's so caring.

I stopped and looked at Ruka "if you want to you can go see Akiko." His face lit up and nodded walking back towards the infirmary.

"Ruka!" I heard her chorus from the infirmary as he entered the room.

{Akiko's P.O.V}

Ruka entered the room.
"Ruka!" I yelped. My voice returning to normal.
But I didn't see Natsume.
He must still be resting.
He must really hate me by now.
"Hey Akiko how are you?" Ruka asked.
"I'm good! Better than before! Right Mikan?" I glanced at Mikan who probably felt rejected as Ruka didn't come to her. "Yes!" She replied starring at Ruka.
"That's not something to be happy about!" He laughed as Mikan joined in.

As they laughed I noticed someone leaning against the door, the boy had raven hair and his back was facing me.

"Ah!" I jump out of bed catching Mikan's attention.

He noticed me and slowly walked away from the door.
"Natsume!" I called his name and he stopped.

"Don't get it wrong i didn't come to see you! I was waiting for Ruka." He says coldly.
Ouch. Natsume at least you could try to be nice. I sighed and looked down at my finger glumly.

"Sorry for earlier. But I didn't know how to use it." I bowed down as he looked over his shoulder his jet black hair falling over his red crimson eyes.

"You'll be sorry you ever stepped a foot into this school." He kissed his teeth, his eyes piercing into mine before he walked out of the hospital room.

I pulled a small grin, at least he came. And then Mikan appears.
"Gosh Akiko! Don't just jump out of bed."

I glanced at Ruka who was starring at the corridor where Natsume disappeared into. He must have seen the whole thing.

I ignored it! I won't loose to a Baka! Its his fault that this happened!

"I'll become stronger and learn to control it!" I yelled clutching my fist as I spun towards Mikan and Ruka.

"Akiko you're getting really energetic.." Ruka laughed awkwardly.
Excuse me for trying to care for my partner!

"You passed the test!" Narumi cheered hugging me as I cheered as well.

I then heard the bell ring.. Class time!
"Akiko!" It was Mikan. She was running at full speed towards me.

"Mikan-chan," I murmured as I gazed at her.
"Akiko...let's....go...to....class...together!" She panted as she spoke.
Hotaru stood beside her emotionlessly. She reminded me of Natsume but he was more angry looking.

I pushed the classroom door open and as usual it was loud enough to make me go death!

I sat down next to the place where Natsume sits.
"Ruka where is Natsume?" Mikan asked.
He shrugged his shoulders explaining he hasn't seen him since yesterday.
Suddenly the doors smash open and the class turns quiet as Natsume walks in.
He was wearing a black cat mask that covered his whole face and as shuffled passed me to sit down without a word I noticed something. On his neck where a few cuts, but where mostly healed.
"Natsume..." I said softly

"Baka. Don't talk to me." He replied coldly his voice was raspy and scary.
I sat down quietly as Narumi whispered to Natsume.
"So you were finally caught." He sighed placing his hand on his hip.

"shut up!" He spat.

Finally Caught?!

This was a quick chapter sorry for not updating for a long time!
I guess Akiko started off a rocky road with Natsume!
