Using the computer in Alex's home office, which surprisingly didn't have a password on it, Diana managed to book three trips to the point of Greece where she and Meg were staying before they went back in time, the first time that is. It wasn't cheap either. Lucky for them Alex was rich.
"Tomorrow at noon, that is the soonest we can leave." Diana sighed as she wondered what they would do until then.
She knew Alex had a guest room of two so she decided to look around the place. Four guest rooms she found. This place was huge. She picked out the room that had the balcony. Sitting down on the bed, she knew the guys were picking out their own rooms. Sighing she knew she could really use Meg right now. She was able to tell Meg anything. Now, she just wondered if maybe Meg was just in the past, waiting for her to come back.
"You ok?" Hector asked as he leaned against the doorframe.
"I miss Meg, also I can't help but hope she is back in the past just waiting for us to come back." Diana admitted.
"I understand, I hope Paris is doing the same thing. Not knowing what he might be doing makes me nervous." Hector confided in Diana as he sat down on the bed beside her.
"Yeah, I wonder why they didn't come forward."
"Mother can only travel so many at a time, I'm surprised she got the three of us here." Achilles said as he came into the room.
"We were trapped in wax figures for years, Achilles." Hector sighed.
"We still got here Hector, I never said it was the best way." Achilles shrugged.
"He's not wrong." Diana shrugged as well.
"Best thing to do is stick together, Diana. You may know this time well but Achilles and I do not." Hector said as he looked around the room.
Diana stood up and went to the computer in the room.
"Actually, things have changed a lot since i've been gone. In 2020, two years before we got here, there was a global pandemic. A virus going around killing thousands. I don't know anything about it but according to this article, the less people we are around, the better." Diana said as she looked up from the computer. "I think I prefer the past now."
"No one would blame you. Who would want to live through that?" Achilles nodded.
"Better get some rest. Big plans for tomorrow." Hector said as he left the room with Achilles staging behind because he had a feeling Diana wanted to talk.
"I'm no Meg, but I was your husband for a long time. Go on, tell me what's on your mind, I know it's eating you up right now." Achilles says sitting on the bed.
Many things were eating her up at that moment, she was hoping just getting to the past was possible, while the thought of having to choose between them again was weighing on her mind. She remembered everything, including Achilles saving her when she was poisoned by one of the women who wanted to marry Hector. When she chose Achilles, they had a son, a family for a while, but then war called and he would answer all of the calls of war. Leaving her and their son behind.
While Hector stood by her side, he made sure her every want and need was achieved. He was not the easiest in the beginning and she had grown to forgive him. However, as a royal, would her life always be in danger? She didn't know and she wasn't sure she would be willing to risk her life, or the one of her son.
"I just have a lot to think about. Hoping to actually get back to the past, find Meg and Patroclus because there is no guarantee that the time we get sent back to would be the one we just disappeared from." Diana pointed out as she tried to make sense of all the chaos in her head.
