Chapter 1
The LetterThe Pogues were going through an abandoned house on the island that they crashed on, it turned out to be Bridgetown, Barbados. The house was bigger then most they've seen, at the top of a hill looking over the forrest and beach JJ claimed "Pougelandia". The house had chipped white paint and green painted shutters on the windows, also chipped. As the crew looked around the old house, they kept asking themselves questions.
"This place is giving Crain house vibes," voiced Kie, looking all around her. "I bet this place probably used to be beautiful in its time," piped Sarah. They were in the dinning room that looked over the ocean. The old wood table in the middle of the room, being slowly eaten by termites, same with the four chairs surrounding that table. The glass chandelier hanging in the middle of the ceiling, perfectly centered with table below it. Kie came up to picture handing on the wall right above an old side table. She put her fingers on the frame. She looked at the picture carefully, noticing something strange about it.
"G-guys come look at this," the curly haired girl voiced. With that the crew came up to look the picture. "This girl in the photo looks just you, Sarah," Kie said. "Holy shit, it dose," the blonde girl said. "Look there's something on the frame," John B says. He brushes off some dust and continues, "The Thomas Family, 1992,". "Look, there's more. Christopher Thomas Jr., Marie Thomas, and Elizabeth Thomas," says Pope. "Wait, Thomas was my mothers maiden name," Sarah says. "Wasn't her first Elizabeth?" Asked Kie. Sarah looked back at the photo. "This is mom," Sarah says. "How old was she in this?" Asked JJ. "Let's see 92'...she's only 11," Sarah says. "My mom lived here at one point. I haven't seen her since I was five," she added.
At this point Pope had wondered off into another room. It was what looked like a study. There was an old fashion desk against one of the walls. On it was a letter arrested to Marie Thomas. "Guys! Get over here," cries Pope from the study. "What is it buddy?" Asked JJ, going to see what his best friend found. Once the whole crew was in the study, he spoke again, "I found a letter addressed to your grandmother Sar," he hands her the letter. Sarah takes it from Popes hands and opens it. Sarah lets out a breath, "It's from my mom," she says. "Read it," John B says.
Dear mother,
I am an awful human. I left my family, my perfect life, my children, my husband. And for what? For a man who wants nothing to due with me. I thought he cared about our family. Our son. But he gave that up. I should have listened to you years ago, when you said, "He'll just break your heart". Oh, I wish you were wrong, but you were right. Now here I am writing you in the middle of the night while he's out doing god knows what, while I'm home looking after Jonathan. I feel awful for splitting the twins up. But it was for best. I'm going back to Ward. Raise Rafe and Sarah right, and this one on the way. But what kind of mother does that make me if I abandoned my son. I mean Ward isn't his or Sarah's father. So why does it matter? I feel like I should just leave. Go Paris, see the world, I guess. Only if Luke ever understood. I think he found about Sarah how she's his not Wards. What am I talking about, of course he knows. I thought this what the best arrangement for Johnathan and Sarah. Having Sarah live and be raised with Ward. While Johnathan lives with Luke.
He was good father to him, at first. But now he's off. Back in old habits. Classic Luke Maybank. I wish thing were different. But know one can have a perfect life. Once I have this baby, I'll stick it out with Ward. Maybe a few more years then I'm going away. I can't deal with both. Luke's addiction problems, and Wards greediness. I just can't. And that might make me selfish. It was easier when we were teens. Have the island be our kingdom. Luke and I were happy all of high school. You know that. But then he turned around and sleeps with my best friend. I have go to sleep at some point, so write back as soon as possible.
Love you daughter, Elizabeth
"JJ and Sarah are twins?" Asked Kie shocked. Sarah was in tears. How many more lies was she going to have to encounter. Her whole life was a lie. She wasn't a blood Cameron. She was a blood Maybank. JJ just stood there as shocked as everyone else. Probably more. "Wait, JJ's first name is Johnathan?" Asked Pope. "Yeah it is, Johnathan James Maybank," he says, slowly. Barely being able to talk. Sarah looked at her new discovered brother. JJ went up to her and hugged his new discovered sister. "Let's give them a minute, we'll be out side," says Kie, leading the two others with her.
JJ and Sarah stood like that for a while. The fact that two have been lied to for 16 years of there lives, shook them to there ever core. What was next for the blonde haired twins?
Now we go to the past...
