Don't Let Me Go

Chapter 22

The whole room went silent as Max yelled. No one dared breathe, let alone speak. Finally, Eddie spoke up. "Hey I know this isn't what you want to hear right now, Red, but it is gonna work out. Maybe not how we think it's gonna work out." he paused when he heard a gasp from Robin. "Not like that. Just we might have to improvise." he said. 

Max was still crying. Eddie walked up to her and squatted down. He pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back. "We can do this Max. We are gonna defeat his ugly, noseless ass." Eddie said, earning a laugh from Max. Max wiped her tears from her face and took a deep breath in.

"Ok so how are we gonna kill this asshole?" Max asked. Everyone looked at El, waiting for her to say something. "No this isn't on El to tell us how. We need to ALL come up with a plan. El is helping us. We are not using her. Everyone got that?" Max said. Everyone nodded and El smiled. Mike is the only other person who has ever really stood up for her like that. 

"So everyone start pitching ideas." Max said, snapping everyone out of their trance of shock they had just been put in. Everyone started to talk. Eventually, it turned into arguing, again. "Guys do not make me yell again." Max said. Lucas laughed to himself. Damn he got a feisty one and he loved her.

"Ok well what if we lure him with Karen this time. But not in his attic. Somewhere else." Robin said. "Well then how will we have time to get to his lair?" Mike countered. "Shit if someone says camping in the Upside Down and waiting for a signal." Eddie said. "That's a genius idea Eddie!" Max said. Eddie groaned and threw his head back. That was a stupid move on his part. 

"Wait who is gonna be doing this camping?" Steve asked. 

They all thought for a second.

"Well, since we have Hopper back, we can do the same grouping plus Hopper." Lucas said. "Well how are we getting the bats away? Last time we tried that Eddie almost ended up dead." Dustin said. 

"Get a radio- no multiple radios- and then place them at different spots around the upside down. Then we can blast music from them. That way the bats will have to spilt up and shit." Steve said. "That's not a bad idea. If we can get a radio signal in the Upside Down." Max said.

"Ok so is that our base plan then? I mean I know it's very vague but is it enough that we can start planning?" Lucas asked.

"Hell yeah. This asshole is going down." Max said.
