She wiped the blood from her mouth. She jerked the money from her pocket.

Forty dollars. She looked up at the stars. Shaking her head, she walked up to the building and opened the door.

"Where've you been?!" Her mom snapped.

"Me and my friends went to watch a movie," Scarlet lied. She shoved the cash back into her pocket.

Her brother looked up. A sly smirk appeared on his face. She glared at him.

"I know you're lying, Scarlet," Her mom growled. Her dad looked up.

"Scar, just tell us."

Scarlet gave in.

"Street fights..." She mumbled, jerking the two twenty dollar bills from her pocket. "Me, J, and Lucas."

"Since when did Luke join this?"

"The other night. Why?"

"Just wondering," Scarlet's dad mumbled.

"Besides, it's made her rich!" Her brother beamed. Scarlet glared at him.

"What?! Where does she keep all this money, then?!"

"Don't. You. Dare. Jake." Scarlet growled.

"Give me ten dollars and I won't tell 'em."

Their parents looked at him.

Scarlet winced, but handed him a twenty.
"Just keep the change, creepo." She muttered, and then headed upstairs to her room.

Loki woke to the door slamming. She crept out of her room, only to be greeted with her brother entering the house.

He took off a pair of leather gloves and threw them onto the couch.

"Luke!"

He looked up. His eyes widened.

"Street fighting, eh?" She mumbled.

He paused, but slowly nodded.

"Well, knowing Scarlet's parents, can't be that bad being around her."

"Her name's Scar."

"Scar, Scarlet, whatever."

He muttered something and walked toward his room.

Loki sighed and leaned up against the wall. She stared up at the ceiling, letting out a sigh.

Should she really stop him from sneaking out every night? Or was it a good thing...?
