Welcome to the family [Dramione]

Chapter 9

As the siblings left, Hermione said, ¨To think they have changed over the years was so terribly wrong. Let's just enjoy our meal and deal with the rest tomorrow.¨ Draco nodded in agreement and stuffed a bite of steak in his mouth, forcing a giggle out of his wife. ¨I'm so grateful for you, my dear Mr Malfoy~¨ Draco replied gently, ¨as do I, Mione, as do I.¨

*Time skip to next morning*

¨Good morning Dracooooooooooooooo¨ Hermione whispered softly in Draco's ear as she tagged on his legs to pull him out of bed. That earned a loud groan from Draco as he was undeniably exhausted from the drama yesterday. Draco dragged his feet out of bed and sluggishly entered the toilet, almost tripping and crashing head first into the bathroom mirror.
¨Darling, do you want coffee? We have to meet them down at the private beach soon.¨ Draco uttered a non-committal ¨mm¨ and continued to half-abuse his teeth with the toothbrush.

As they arrived at the beach, just as the last of the family was arriving, Hermione noticed five redheads and one raven haired person, near the far end of the beach, on the public side. Things could not get worse. ¨Finally! Everyone has arrived, so can we start setting up our spots on the beach? I need the sunniest spot to get the perfect tan~¨ Kimberly whined as she tried to drag her boyfriend along with her onto the sand. Grandmother Eleanor replied firmly, ¨Not until we take a group photo first. It's been so long since we took one all together! This reunion must be captured!¨

Grandmother Eleanor then proceeded to usher everyone to face a random staff that happened to be walking by to assist in helping the family take a photo. Light shoves and nudges were shared among the family as they fought for ample space in the frame. As the staff clicked the button of Aunt Eleanor's camera, everyone soon started to move towards the beach again.

Kimberly dragged Jonah to the far end of the beach, near the bar and the barrier between the public and private beaches. As Hermione spotted them closing in on the Weasleys and Potters, she had an unusually odd gut feeling that this entire reunion and plan would go wrong at some point.
