Welcome to the family [Dramione]

Chapter 4

The next day, the Granger family were arriving, for their annual Granger Family Reunion, which Hermione has always found excuses for. However, she soon ran out and had to go, much to her dismay. A few months ago, she had received 2 separate and vastly different letters from her grandmother, as well as her aunt.

Dear Hermione,
How are you? You are invited to the annual Granger Family Reunion, hosted at the Serpens Et Leaena. It will be a 4 day 5 night occasion where family bonds with each other, from 1 to 5 August. I hope you do come this year, I miss you!

You are invited to the annual Granger Family Reunion, held at the Serpens Et Leaena, from 1-5 August. Unfortunately, your grandmother wants you to go. You can bring whatever plus-one you have but you probably have none. Don't embarrass yourself and us, it is better if you don't come again this year.

Aunt Isabelle

Of course, knowing her grandmother wanted her there, she submitted and sent back a RSVP for the reunion. While Hermione was lost in her thoughts, her personal assistant paged her to deal with Ron's ruckus at the hotel bar. Quite frankly, Hermione was already exhausted from dealing with Ron's antics. As she was about to step out of her room, she paused in her steps, her cover would be blown if she showed up to deal with the problem as the owner of the hotel. Hermione called Emmy, and explained, ¨Hey Emmy, could you tell Pansy to deal with the Ron problem? Tell her I owe her now and I don't want to blow my cover. Oh, and also, how is the deal for the New York and Tokyo estate?¨ Emmy quickly typed a note on her iPad and replied, ¨Well, Mrs Malfoy, both pending estates have been secured and are ready for renovation and development. All there is left now is staff wages and a meeting coming up with Prime Minister Kingsley. As for Ms Parkinson, she has been informed and is going to deal with the problem right now.¨ Hermione nodded in satisfaction and completed the rest of her work before bed. ¨Drop me an email record of it and all company expenses this month. Also, tell Mark to transfer all staff wages by this week including a $1500 bonus for everyone. Oh and Emmy, you can take the rest of the week off.¨

Emmy beamed in gratitude and acknowledged Hermione's note with a nod of her head. With that, she turned on her heel and left the room. As Emmy left, Hermione sighed and collapsed on the soft bed in fatigue. She never felt more grateful for the wonderful people around her. Tomorrow is the time where she starts tying up loose ends and unresolved conflicts.
