As everyone hustled to reserve their spots on the sand and on the benches under the umbrella, Uncle Thomas expressed all-too-obviously about his dislike of the choice of private beach as it was the smallest out of all of them. And it was. That particular beach was the only one unbooked for a whole month as it was unpopular, small and last of all, closest to the public beach.

Aunt Alyssa rolled her eyes at her husband's comments and dragged him away with their children to one of the sun tanning beds. Hermione, who observed everything from afar, shook her head and decided to follow Draco to the lifeguard house to follow up on some administrative work. ¨Can you help keep the people on the public beach away from the separating fence? There should be some safety precautions in place to prevent any arguments.¨ The lifeguard nodded in assurance to Draco and continued to keep watch over the beach.

Soon, laughter and screams filled the air. Kimberly was tackling Jonah into the water and the rest of the family were sipping cocktails on the tanning bed. The cool breeze swept over the sand and the palm tree leaves rustled. Despite the rough start to the day, there was a feeling of peace.

Beside the Granger family, the Weasley and Potter family in the public beach were arguing, in contrast to the now carefree Granger family. ¨Harry! Seriously? You didn't book the private beach? It's been ages since we took a vacation and you can't even splurge once?" Ginny whined and complained with her husband sighing in exasperation. ¨Gin, you know we are tight on money. It's already a miracle we can afford to go on vacation. A rental of the smallest private beach is already $3500. Maybe next time?¨ Harry tried to console and reassure his spoiled wife as she continued to pout in anger.

Ron, on the other hand, was also not a good help at all. He had also complained to Harry and his parents about the private beach despite not paying a cent for the hotel, as it was graciously sponsored by Hermione and Draco for their wedding. ¨Ugh, if only Hermione paid for a private beach as well, it's not fair! We are literally war heroes, we deserve the best.¨

As the Potters heard that, Ginny vigorously nodded in agreement and Harry merely side eyed his brother-in-law. Molly Weasley soon came around to hand out sunscreen and she spotted the Grangers over the fence at the private beach. ¨Is that Malfoy? What are they doing there?¨ Molly Weasley's words attracted the attention of the family and they looked in the direction of her pointed finger.

On the side of the private beach, Draco and Hermione were splashing around in the water, squealing and giggling with the splashes. However, the Malfoys weren't the only ones having a good time. Grandmother Eleanor was laughing and pulled her sons and daughter-in-laws into the water. Even her antics caused the normally stoic family to crack a smile and let her drag them closer to the water.

Observing the amount of fun the Granger family was having, the Weasleys and Potters marched over to the fence gate between the private and public beach. Opening the gate, they marched over to the Malfoy couple with the lifeguard trying his best to prevent the family from disrupting the owners and his family. ¨Malfoy. Let's talk.¨
