Unbroken - Really Slow Motion

- Carla , please bring the glasses here from the cupboard - I said to my friend.

- Immediately Sophie, I just have my hands full. I can't serve that many guests.

-So what? - I laughed to myself

- Let's ask for help - said the girl and ran into the warehouse. I stayed alone until then and tried to serve hungry people in London's bustling cafe.
The little red chairs were all filled with people running away from the rain. Even though it was December, it wasn't snowing here, it was raining. After all, we are in England. Our little country is famous for rain, so this is not my country. Monaco has always been for me...
But that was a long time ago. Long enough to forget them. But who? It shakes me suddenly, I remember that I'm working. No time to think. Carla comes back and brought Jack with her. The three of us started working again. We took down the tables and Carla handled the cash register....Then I remembered again...The sun was almost always shining in Monaco, even at Christmas....What will I do at Christmas without them?

*Two months earlier*

Monaco, oh Yes, the place where emotions will always bind me. The place to which I can always come back even if I don't want to.
And since I've been by Charles' side, I feel much happier. Something has changed in me and I feel like an adult. Charles and I have officially moved out of the Leclerc residence. Charles bought a house in one of the most wonderful places in Monaco and we lived there from then on. I lived there too.
One of my favorite pastimes was when the boy took my hand and whispered in my ear;

- Come, let's go to the ship

Of course, I immediately nodded and got into the red Ferrari. We got out in minutes and all I remember is walking on the boat in socks. Charles went to get a bottle of champagne and I put some pillows in the meantime because I have a plan. I mean, I had a plan.

- Sophie, what on earth are you doing? - Charles asked when he returned with the glasses in hand

- Today we are going to look at the stars - I said, taking the boy's hand and pulling him to the ground next to me. Charles sighed and laid down.

- I have a better idea than looking at the stars - he said and looked deeply into my eyes. He grabbed my face and kissed me

-Charles! ...Charles - I called the boy so he wouldn't get off topic

- What's up? - the boy asked between two kisses

- Please, please hold on for just 20 more minutes. We might even see a shooting star

-Okay, but then we'll go down to the cabin and I'll do what I want with you

-Okay - I said and planted a soft kiss on his cheek

That night, when Charles and I were lying on the floor holding hands, I felt like a child again. I started to become the same as before.

- Sophie...there's a shooting star! - Charles pointed at the sky
- Make a wish

Obviously I didn't say out loud what I wanted. I made my biggest wish. I wished for Charles Leclerc, that I could spend my life next to him. I wanted him to be my husband, the father of my children, and the love of my life forever.

- I wished - I said and put my arms around Charles

- Can we go in?

- We can go - I said and as I entered the room I took off my jacket. Charles came up behind me and put his arm around me
He slowly ran his finger along my shoulder and then my stomach.

Charles, I can feel that I shaking because we immediately started to continue his wish in bed.

- It's good that there's no race now - I said and let the boy grab my thighs and start tickling them with his finger

-Ssssssss! Don't talk about Formula 1 at such a beautiful moment - he said, and I smiled.

After we finished we fell asleep in the brain of the ship. Shortly after midnight, however, I woke up to the phone ringing. Charles grumpily threw a pillow at me. I didn't even pay attention to him, I looked to see who it was. It was Lando. The boy's call surprised me, but to be honest, maybe not a little.

- LANDO NORRIS IT'S PAST MIDNIGHT - I said loudly into the phone

- Hi to you too Sophie! - the boy said in a slightly condescending tone.

- What do you want? Have you laid a girl again? - I asked jokingly. Lando and I really became best friends, just like the boy promised.

- I need your help - Lando said quietly.

- In what?

- Well, there is a girl I really like, but I don't know how to tell her...

- Lando Norris, are you throwing such nonsense at me in the middle of the night? - I laughed to myself when Charles took the phone out of my hand

- Norris, I'm just after a damn long day. I want to sleep and my girlfriend won't let me because of you, so please wait until tomorrow - Charles said and handed the phone back to me

- Long day... not enough sex - Lando laughed to himself, but luckily Charles didn't hear that

- We'll talk in the morning, now I better make it up to Charles - I said and snuggled up next to the boy. Charles pulled me next to him.

- Let's sleep - he whispered

....

In the morning, Charles was no longer by my side. A letter greeted me instead

I went for a run and I also have a meeting. Then I go to Maranello. See you next week in Brazil.
