chapter 1: new home new life.

Hi my name is lily I just moved to Mexico a couple days ago. I have black short straight hair and love the color blue, my favorite food is sandwiches, I mean you can't go wrong with some good sandwiches!. I'm a lonely child, my father is single. You see my mother passed away a few years ago it was heartbreaking on me and my father, I'm still trying to help him move on. Enough about that........let's talk more about me. I'm 14 years old, I love reading, I got good grades at my old school. Oh yeah I never told you where I lived before I moved to Mexico! I lived in Spain for my hole life until now of course.  Huh what's that sound? "LILY COME DOWN HERE PLEASE I THINK I BURNED THE GARLIC BREAD!!!!!."  "Yeah one second dad!" I called back. I ran down the stairs, dad burnt the garlic bread to a crisp!. "Daddd I was really excited for the bread" I said In a slightly annoyed tone. "Sorry sweetie I'll just have to make it next time" said dad. My dad he's not the best cook since he'd never had to before because my mom used to cook dinner every night, she cooked the best spicy casserole. Man I really do miss mom. Oh shoot I forgot to tell you, this world I live in it's filled with people with magic, some people can use fire magic, some use water or air, some can even grow flowers with there powers!. My familys power is water.I can use magic a tiny bit but not fully I still need to practice, that's why dad said he would apply me to go to a MAGIC SCHOOL!!! I've always wanted to go to one, but I'm still waiting for a letter to come in the mail. Also when people use there magic it's called bending cool right!?. "Hey sweetie eat up" said dad. "Ok" I replied. Dad moved his elbow and knocked his glass of water over, he quickly used his magic to hold the water in the air, I grabbed the glass so he could use his powers to but the water back in the glass. "Problem solved" said dad sounding very proud. We finished dinner and just when I was washing dishes dad yelled "COME HERE LILY RIGHT NOW!!" I quickly dropped what I was doing and ran to dad over by his laptop, he had told me my letter came through his Gmail. "OH MY GOD"I said very happily. "don't get ur hopes up though" dad said. He clicked to open it and dad started reading out loud, hello parent of lily summers we want to inform you that your daughter lily has been offered a spot in hillside magic academy your daughter should be dropped at the academy for her first day in 3 days. Have a nice day. THIS WAS IT IM GOING TO A MAGIC ACADEMY IN 3 DAYS!!!!!.
