chapter 3: friends?

I noticed I kinda had a crush on her, but I didn't wanna worry to much or dad would notice something was off. I got home and went to my room to have a nap, as soon as I closed my eyes dad came in my room and said "come on lily you should go to the park instead of lying around". "What?" I replied, he pushed me out the house. That was weird I said to my self. I started walking to the park up ahead there was a girl who looked exactly like mia with a little boy. I just ignored it. I got there and sat on a bench, I looked over and saw that the girl with the little boy was mia. The boy fell and mia bent over and gave the boy a bandaid and a Loli Pop. She  looks super sweet. So I walked up to her and said "hey mia I didn't know you lived around here" she looked at me in a uncomfortable awkward facial expression. Just then the little boy said " mia don't ignore her" mia replied with " yeah, fine, hi" I said hi as well. I asked if she wanted to hangout since my dad told me to go to the park, she said "um sure" . She told me the little boy was Justin her little brother. "Uh um hey lily" mia said looking at me I replied with " yes?". " Do you know how to use magic at all?", To be honest I don't really know, I was scared if I told her I don't know how, she would think I'm lame. But I sucked it up and told her this "no I don't at all" she replied with "oh okay". I hope she doesn't think I'm lame. We went to the play ground and mia took her brother to the little kid playground then came back and swung on the swings with me, but we where interrupted by EMILY. Emily said "hey losers, oh lily do you still not know how to bend yet? HAHA bet you don't." mia turned around and noticed a guy with a big bucket of water behind us. I turned around and noticed he threw the water towards me. I quickly put up my hand to try to block it from my face but when I closed my eyes nothing splashed me So I opened my eyes to notice the water in the air?. I was water bending, I moved my hand slightly and in dropped on me. "PFFFT- she tried and still FAILED!" Emily said laughing. "Emily is there one time that ur not a bitch?" Said mia. Emily looked at me and mia and walked away offended. mia looked at me soaked on the swing she got up and said "I'm sorry this happened Emily is just a stuck up girl who wants attention" I laughed and agreed. Mia said "hey lily I wanna ask if we could be friends?" I said "of course!" She grabbed my hands while smiling and said she will warm them up. She used her bending to warm her hands up. I couldn't help but feel butterfly's in my stomach when she did that. I got home and dad had dinner on the stove I told him I'll pass on dinner and went to bed for the night.
