Chapter 4

It's been two weeks since I started college. I've settled in as much as I can and getting through the work pretty easy.

Me and Isabel have became really close which is helpful because we live together. I have mainly been hanging out with Isabel and her boyfriend Noah, and on occasion Henry (rude boy) would join us.

The last week has been really fun but I can't help but think I'm third-wheeling on Isabel and Noah. Isabel is really sweet, too sweet, so even if I was she wouldn't tell me. Noah on the other hand won't really care as long as their together.

It's Sunday so that means I get to have a lie in thank god! I've been up late most nights, whether it's studying or out with Isabel so I haven't really had a great deal of sleep.

When I finally wake up it's around 11:30am which is quite good for me. Isabel is up and starting to get ready.

"Leila! You're finally up! Do you wanna go out and get food with me, Noah and Henry?" She asks.

"Yeah sure let me get ready first" I respond.

We meet the boys down at the car park Henry is driving. We are getting food at this little cafe a few minutes away.

I was forced to sit in the front with Henry because the love birds 'needed to talk about something important' - they wanted to make out.

I got in the front and Henry started to drive. I felt weirdly awkward but soon enough we were there.

I sat next to Isabel, Henry sat opposite. I talked to Isabel for the whole time, gossiping about whatever we could.

On the way back it was the same seating arrangement. This time I tried making small talk.

"How long have you been driving" I ask.

He looked at me blankly, then back at the road. "About a year" he says. "Do you drive?" He questions.

"No I don't, I want to learn." I remark.

"How do you know Noah and Isabel" I ask.

"You're very nosy Leila aren't you?" He states.

"Excuse me?"

He smirks at me. '

"No there's a difference between nosy and getting to know people." I was trying to be nice.

"Ok" he says with the biggest smirk on his face.

When we get back I say bye to the boys and head up to the dorm. When I got in I got straight into my pjs and started watching Netflix.

Mondays were always the worst, not because of the classes because I knew that there were 5 days until the next weekend.

Luckily I only had phycology today but I still had to get up early.

Isabel and I walked down to class and sat down. Soon enough Henry and Noah joined us and class begun.

It was nearing the end of the class when the teacher set us a project she said we have to make a presentation about a mental disability in groups of four.

Isabel, Noah, Henry and I all decided to be in a group together. Not that I was thrilled to be in the same group as Henry but I'll just avoid him.

After class we all decided to meet later on tonight at the campus café. We would then decide on which mental disability we are going to present to the class.

I didn't have any other classes today so I decided to go back to the dorm. I studied for a bit then decided I gave up.

Shorty after I got fed up of the dorm and went on a walk around campus. I walked around for a bit but it started to lightly rain. As I was making my way back to the dorm I spotted Henry walking two dogs.

I walked over not because of Henry because of the dogs. Only the dogs.

"Hi" I said confidently.

"Hi.." he looked angry?

"I didn't realize you had dogs" I say.

"Why would you?" Ok he really doesn't want me here.

"What are their names?" I ask.

"This one is Milo" he says pointing to a big fluffy golden retriever. "And this one is Sadie." He points to a black and white border collie slightly smaller than the retriever.

"Oh my god!!" I say beaming. I love dogs.

He looked at me expressionless.

"I love dogs, I had a Black Labrador when I was a kid called Lady, she was my world I loved her so much, sadly she passed away a few years back." I don't know why I am telling him about my dead dog?

"Sad to hear " he says sarcastically. "Better get going then bye" He says a quickly walked away.

"Bye" I say but get no response.

When I reached the café Isabel and Noah were already there.

"Hi" I say

"Hey"
"Hi"

"I got you your favourite drink" Isabel says proudly.

"Thank you Izz" glad that I'm getting some coffee today.

When Henry arrived we started talking about the project.

"I think we should do bi polar disorder, what do we think?" Noah says.

"That's a good one but I was thinking we could do PTSD?" I say unsure what the rest of the group will say.

" Yeh I was thinking that as well Leila" Isabel says.

"What do you want to do Henry" I ask.

"Whatever" he says blankly.

"Ok so PTSD it is then." Isabel says.

"So I was thinking we could go into different pairs, you have to discuss five questions based around PTSD and then write a brief answer on the slide then you swap partners once you have the five questions and so on." Isabel says.

"Yeh that's a good idea" I say.

"Sounds good to me" Noah answers.

"Yeh" Henry mumbles.

Hey guys so it's been a while since a wrote and that's because it's nearly school 🥲🥲
I've been really busy with a lot of school preparation and I didn't really have the time!!

It will get more...... interesting as the story goes on I didn't really want to rush into anything especially bc it's only been 2 weeks!!
