Chapter 1

First day of college and I'm already fucking stressed this is just great. The reason I'm stressed is because I forgot to pack half my stuff last night because I fell asleep reading! Don't get me wrong it was a good book but seriously I need to get a grip.

Fucking finally! It's better to be late than never right? Right? Anyway I need to find my dorm, room 152.

"Hey do you know where room 152 is" I ask a young boy who looks like he might punch me in the face for just looking at him. I risk it anyway.

He points so something behind me, of course it's my dorm how stupid can I be?! "Right behind you babygirl" he smirks.

I cringe at his choice of words but decide to shrug it off. "Thanks" I respond, practically sprinting away and barging down my door.

I walk in there is one other girl there she looks like she's new as well. This is exciting!!

"Hey" I blurt out way more excited than I should be.

"Hi, nice to meet you I'm Isabel" she responds.

"I'm Leila nice to meet you, so is it your first
day here as well?" She seems really down to earth I think I'm going to get on with her very well!

"Yeh how could you tell, do I look as stressed as I feel" maybe she is stressed but she can't be as me it's not possible.

"Aww no you don't looked that stressed, if it makes you feel any better I think half the people here today are stressed" I think we're going get on very well we have the same kinda vibe. This is very exciting.

"Thanks, listen I have to go back to my car and get the rest of my stuff I'll see you a little later?"

"Yes definitely"

Once Isabel had left I unpacked some of my stuff mostly clothes and skincare. After unpacking I pulled out some pjs and went out into the hallway to the shower block.

On my way there I spotted Isabel walking back I quickly said hi to her before reaching the shower block. Quickly did my skincare and started walking back.

But of course the universe had it out for me. The same guy who called me 'babygirl' in the hallways this morning was walking along and of course he spotted me walking in my pjs.

"Hey gorgeous" can't this guy just leave me alone what's he trying to prove?

"Leave me alone" I say with a sharp tone.

"What are you up to later maybe I could come round and we could hang out and play games"why are collage boys so disgusting.

"No thanks, I have a boyfriend" I lie. Obviously not, but it seemed to shut him up so I'll take it as a win!

I continue to walk back to my room when I hear moaning from inside my dorm. Oh fuck me.

It's not like I can just walk in there acting like their not naked. I don't even know my roommate that well anyway and I don't want her to hate me. I also can't sit out here and do nothing because that will look weird.

I need a plan.

Just as I was about to start planning I remember I left my toothbrush in the shower room. Great now I actually have something to do. I can just take extra long doing it.

The sad thing is that I can't even text Isabel to tell her that I'm coming back. I really need to get her number.

After about 30 mins out in the hallway scrolling through Instagram and TikTok I finally here the door being opened. I duck behind the stairs and wait for a bit before entering the dorm.

"Hey Isabel can I have your number?" I really hope she doesn't question why I want it but I can't have a repeat of last night.

"Oh yeh of course, I was meaning to give it to you anyways" phew I'm just glad that wasn't awkward.

After she gave me her contact details I decided to look around campus a bit get a feel for college life and all.

I ended up at the college café. It was very cozy. I go for my favorite hot drink: white chocolate mocha with 1 pump of vanilla syrup and whip cream it's the best.

But my aesthetic campus café dream life was cut short when a tall, brown haired guy bumped into me making me spill my drink all over my shirt. Delightful. He didn't even apologize what a dick.

After I had cleaned myself up at the dorms, Isabel decided she wanted to take me for coffee off campus she promised me this time I would actually be able to drink it. I held her to that.

She ordered for the both of us a honey and hazelnut oat latte, which I throughly enjoyed. She refused to let me pay and while I was at the toilet sneakily payed.

After we got back to the dorms we were both extremely tired.

I quickly put my phone on charge and got into bed, I definitely need to buy a heater it's FREEZING.

First chapter!!!! This is my first ever book so it's really exciting and hopefully it gets some reads!

This chapter took surprisingly long to write but hopefully as I develop into the story it will get easier HOPEFULLY!
