"Willow, wake up already!! You should help in doing household chores! Get your lazyass right here and help me. That's the only thing you can help in this house!" A series of shouts woke me up from my dreams.
I grunted and covered my head with a pillow.
"Aren't you still getting up? Don't make me go inside your room because if I will get inside your room I will pour cold water into your bed to wake you up!" My mom added while walking upstairs. When I heard a knock on my door, I hurriedly ran towards the bathroom and get toothpaste to put it in my toothbrush. I slowly walk in the door and open it.
"Why are you so slow at opening your door? You're still sleeping righ ---?" My mom stops talking when I cut her off.
"I'm in the bathroom, what are you talking about?" I said inaudibly while brushing my teeth. I raised my eyebrows and thought. 'What? I'm already up. I'm in just the bathroom brushing my teeth'.
My mom turns her back away from me and continues walking downstairs while saying aggressively. "You should come down immediately and help me in doing the chores. Don't make me repeat myself, okay?"
"I will walk the dog," I said and hurriedly close the door. The phone suddenly started making noises and when I walk near my table and check what is it. And I saw it was my alarm clock. "What freaking useless alarm, should I just turn it off? I think mom's blabbering early in the morning was much more useful than an alarm clock
I re-entered the bathroom to finish brushing my teeth and washing my face. After finishing my business in the bathroom, I fixed my bed and changed my pajamas into shorts, and put on a sports bra as a top.
I walked outside my room and started descending the stairs. I rush straight to the kitchen to have breakfast and saw my Mom and Dad already started eating. "Where is Rave? Is he out?" I said while finding his presence, after looking around I sat in front of the dining table and started to eat my breakfast.
Ohh, right Rave is my older brother. He's two years older than me and he's currently studying at one of the prestigious schools in the country.
"He's out to pick up his friends because they'll be doing some school papers here." My mom said while picking up some bread.
"Willow can you get the strawberry jam inside the refrigerator." My mom said while she puckered her lips pointing toward the refrigerator.
I stand up and walk towards the refrigerator and get the strawberry jam. I walk back to the dining table and said. "Ohh, it's his first time bringing his classmate to our house," I said while I ponytail my hair.
My mom ignored what I said and started blabbering about some nonsense things. When I finally finish eating and I put my plate in the kitchen sink and suddenly I heard my dad say exclaiming. "Why are you wearing shorts and a sports bra? Haven't you heard from your mother that we will be having visitors? And they are the classmates of your brother who were all boys. Do you want to be sexualized? Dress properly!"
I sighed and turn in front of the dining table. "What do you mean sexualized? I wear what I want to wear and if men respect women they won't be sexualizing women for what they wear. This is our house can't I dress comfortably?" I said angrily.
"I'm telling you this because it's for your sake. Am I doing this on a whim? No!" Dad said stubbornly.
"All women should have the ability to decide what to wear and when to wear it, free of judgment and condescension of others. If a woman feels confident, anyone that discourages her clothing should be ashamed. No person has the right to make others unhappy. Women are frequently forced to confine themselves to the standards that society sets for their choices, while men can get away with wearing just about everything. Just because a woman is wearing something that shows off her figure, does not mean that it should be defaulted as inappropriate." I said huffingly and walked out.
I don't want to argue early in the morning. After closing the front door I took a deep sigh to calm my raging emotions. And stared at the clear skies, after organizing and calming my thoughts I stroll out with pan-pan, our very cute dog. "Good morning pan-pan, did you have a nice sleep?" I said while hugging her and opening the gate.
I put down pan-pan and fix her collar and when I was ready to depart to start running with pan-pan. Suddenly, I heard a car engine in front of our house. I turn my head and saw my brother and some unknown men. 'I guess they are Rave's classmates, well I should start already' I thought and turn my back and started running when I heard a shout from Rave. "Willow where are you going?"
"I'm going for a run with pan-pan!" I shouted while I continue running, not turning my back.
I jogged for 5 minutes more and rest for a bit and I gave pan-pan some water. I took a stop at the gym and do some light workouts. After finishing a few sets of workouts, I decided to go home already.
I walk slowly with pan-pan until I arrived at our house. I open the door and saw my brother's classmate doing their papers. My brother suddenly call me and said he will introduce me to his classmates. But I rejected it and said, "Uhhh, I'll just take a quick shower and introduce myself to them. Can't you see I was full of sweat?" I said and apologized to them.
I ascend the stairs to take a quick shower. After having a nice and refreshing bath. I blow dry my hair and wear a loose shirt and shorts. I took my phone to my table and unplug the charger. After getting down I go straight to the kitchen to drink some water. Suddenly I heard Rave beckoning me to come to the living room. I walk toward the living room while holding some snacks.
"This is my classmates, say hello!" Rave said uninterestedly. "Hello, nice to meet you all. I'm Willow Williams, younger sister of Rave Williams." I said reservedly and politely bowed my head.
"Hello!! I'm Kyle, nice to meet you!!" said enthusiastically while waving his hands. I turn my head and saw a gullible boy who wear glasses and beamingly smiling at me.
"Blask," the boy in specs said deeply. "Hello, I'm Alex. May I ask how old are you tho --? Rave shuts him off and said. " Are you hitting on my sister? And seriously Alex? Asking how old are you in your first meeting, Isn't that pretty rude?" Rave said mockingly.
I shake my head and ignore them. I decided to coop up inside my room and watch Netflix for the whole day. I open my laptop and started to find some good catch dramas.
"Willow! Willow! Willow!" someone was calling me while shaking my body nonstop and when I open my groggy eyes. I saw Sydney smiling at me while jumping around my bed.
"What are you doing? Don't you see that I'm sleeping?" I said while glaring at her. "Let's go, accompany me to the department store, and help me buy some stationaries," Sydney said and jump out of my bed and ran outside.
Before she entirely closes the door of my room. "Don't you have some other friend who can accompany you to your impulses to buy some things?" I asked while closing my eyes and crawling near my bedside table. "No, you're the only one who can control and restricts me not to buy all the things I want before I'll spend my parent's entire fortune," Sydney said smiling showing her teeth and gums.
Before I can speak Sydney asked me in a gossipy tone, "Ohh right, the boys who were with your brother. Who are they?" Her eyes glinted like a gossipy mother who heard some pretty amusing rumors.
"They are Rave's classmates," I said uninterestingly. I walk to my bathroom and wash my face. I open my closet and pick some clothes to wear.
While picking clothes to wear I glared at Sydney and said. "Sydney, if you don't freaking compensate me for disturbing my sleep. I'm telling you I'll butcher you up."
"I'll treat you to dinner later," Sydney said while continuously raising her brows. "I haven't had lunch yet. Treat me to a proper meal!" I said and casually pick high-waisted jeans and one sleeveless crop top.
"Okay, let's have some pasta later at your favorite French restaurant," Sydney said casually. "I want rice meal, not pasta," I said and push her out of my room."Just wait for me downstairs and I'll just change."
After changing my clothes, I comb my hair and spray some perfume. I put my phone and wallet in my baguette bag.
