After arriving at the school canteen. I hurriedly rush to the counter where they sell food. And when I saw the snacks for today I suddenly lost my appetite.
"Willow you freakin' betrayer --" Sydney said while fuming from anger but suddenly when she saw the food for today's snack break, she stop blabbering and pouted.
"Same food aga--?!" Sydney huffed. I covered her mouth before the vendor will hear what she said.
"Well it's just a normal day again in public school, haven't you lost your expectations ages ago already? " I blandly whispered to Sydney while fake smiling towards the vendor.
After buying some unappetizing and redundant snacks. We find a place where to eat.
I asked Sydney "What are you looking at?" "Does your malicious and judging eyes find some amusement again?" because I found her sneakily stealing some glances.
I turned my head to see the vendor being grumpy again towards the students and suddenly I heard Sydney saying."Uhhh, Nothing I just find the vendor's makeup and bitching attitude amusing. How does it fit so perfectly?"
"Why? What's wrong with her makeup?" I said while asking dumbly. Sydney looks at me while smirking. "What's wrong with her makeup? Didn't you freaking see how thick her foundation is? At this rate, her next destination will be heaven." Sydney said sarcastically.
I stole a glance at the vendor and said "Isn't that exaggeration? Why go to heaven if you can go to the morgue first?" Sydney and I exchange glances and started laughing hard.
After finishing our food, we rush back to the classroom because we're late already!!
Time flew by, it was just another day that I spent with my friend while judging other people and laughing our asses off.
After class, Sydney walks beside me and asked "Should we go have snacks before going home?" while continuously nodding her eyebrows, acting like a pervert.
"Snacks? Sorry but I'm on diet. We should just go next time." I said while fixing my things.
"Tsss, Diet? In your dreams!" Sydney said while sneering at me. And she took a deep breath and said "Fine, I'll treat you."
"Ohhh, I forgot that my diet was supposed to be scheduled for next year," I said quickly while smiling brightly at her.
"What a two-faced a bitch. No, you're much better than a two-faced bitch" Sydney said while mocking me.
"You should become an actress. At this rate, becoming an A-list actress was not far off," Sydney added. "Should I?" I ask while laughing.
"Stop acting cheap Willow! As if you're not rich." Sydney said while. scrolling through her phone. "My parents are rich not me, I'm just sucking their money. It's like a host and parasite -- my parents are the host and I'm the parasite but the only difference is we don't have the usual host and parasite relationship, it is more like having an intimate relationship because we are family!" I said while exclaiming.
"That's a rather weird way how you put it," Sydney said while looking at me weirdly.
"Should we call Eric?" Sydney asked me while holding not my arm. "What for?" I ask.
"To hold our things?" Sydney said while snickering. We stop by Eric's room and after convincing, I mean threatening. Eric was defeated by agreed to accompany us.After arriving at the fast-food restaurant, we hurriedly order some chicken, pizza, and some drinks. The food hurriedly arrived and we started golfing down our food while chattering.
"Can't the two of you just eat peacefully? Is it required to chatter nonstop? Your saliva will splatter all over the food!" Eric said loudly.
Sydney and I simultaneously turn our heads and glared at him.
"Nooo! Eating snacks will be boring if there is no chattering. And don't exaggerate! Why do you say that we are splattering saliva all over the food? We're talking modestly, we are demure women." Sydney shouted aggressively while I cracked my knuckles.
"Do you want to be slapped? Are we animals? Who will splatter saliva everywhere?" Sydney said while rolling her sleeves even if she's wearing a sleeveless shirt.
"As if the both of you are demure? You acted more like a thug or gangster rather than a feminine woman. What a joke."Eric said while rolling his eyes.
"No one will think you're mute because you don't speak," I said nonchalantly while I continue to stuff my mouth with food.
"Oh right, Tomorrow will be Saturday do both of you have plans tomorrow? Let's go out." Sydney said beamingly.
"Sorry, I have some things to do tomorrow," I said nonchalantly. "What plans do you have?" Sydney said while wiping her fingers with tissue.
"I'll sleep till noon," I said boringly. "What? Sleep! Why go to sleep if you can do many things, be productive! Live your life, chase your dreams, you can sleep when you're dead!" Sydney said hysterically.
"Is that a quote? What a sham. I'd rather believe in my quote that says 'Sleep as much as you can now because you won't be having the privilege to have a proper rest soon." I said acting like a great philosopher.
Sydney glared at me and turns her head towards Eric and ask. "How about you?"
"Uhhh, same?" Eric said gingerly while avoiding glares at Sydney. Sydney sighed defeatedly and looked at both of us pityingly and said. "What a boring fella's. How did I even befriend this two?" Sydney said while whispering.
After eating we bid farewell to each other because we are not headed in the same direction. The sun was already gone, and darkness invaded the whole world. The cold breeze of wind passes by now and then, and the rustling of leaves while being blown by the wind sounds so ethereal.
The street was not conquered by darkness, the streetlights were erected a few meters away from each other. Maybe you were wondering how brave am I to walk in an empty street in the dark. Well, I got used to it already. I've been doing this routine for the past 6 years already, from 7th grade till 12th grade which is now.
While walking I savor the current peacefulness, I hum an unknown tune while pondering. Then suddenly raindrops started pouring one by one till the rain became heavy. "What a freakin' luck do I have!" I said while cursing the rain.
I hurriedly ran till I got home when I'm outside the door of our house I shouted, "Mom, could you pass me some towel."
My mother passed me some towel after a series of scolding. I rashly ran upstairs to take a warm bath when my mother said. "Come down after washing yourself because we'll be having dinner already."
"I'll eat later. I'm still full." I said while shivering. "What did you eat for you to be full already?" My mother asked me while walking back towards the kitchen. "Sydney, Eric, and I are some chicken and pizza at a fast-food restaurant near our school after class," I said and close the door.
After taking a shower and wearing some warm clothes. I lie down on my bed and look toward my study table and whisper. "Well tomorrow will be the weekend so might as well finish my school papers on Sunday night," I said while smiling beamingly.
