Levi's POV
Finally, in my own house. Away from my ridiculous ex boyfriend, god I hate him...
"Leeeevi! We finished moving the boxes from the truck into your brand new apartment!" My cheerful best friend smiled and crack her knuckles.
"Thanks Hanji, I dont think I've could've done it without you" I signed and plopped down onto the sofa.
"Aww, is it because your so tiny" She replied patting my head.
OK, I am NOT tiny, I am exactly 160 cm tall! That is the average height for a 21 year old.... I think.
"Whatever, hey are you thirsty or anything? Because I was gonna head to the store anyways and I could pick us up some ramune"
I was honestly just finding a poor excuse to get out of the house and out for a run, but I guess I could pick up something for us to drink.
"Oooh yeah, Get me the grape kind, that's my favorite! But you should probably take an umbrella, it looks like its gonna rain soon"
"Ok will do, I should be back in an hour"
Actually, its only about a 10 minute walk from my apartment building to the store, but I guess I could use the time alone.
"Alrighty then! While your out I'm gonna hook up the cable and see if I can get any good shows!"
She always did have a weird thing for reality shows...
I grabbed an ordinary gray umbrella from the rack beside my door and headed into the elevator since I was on one of the highest floors.
As soon as I stepped out of the building it began to pour down rain.
I pulled out my umbrella and headed to the store where it seemed there were hardly any people there today.
After the young cashier flashed me a fake smile, he handed me my bag and I headed out under the store's hangover that was over the door and fondled my umbrella open.
"Its getting late, Hanji is probably worried about me" I spoke to myself at times, even though I wouldn't get a reply from anyone.
As I headed down the dark mucky road, I heard small cried come from the alley, and I of course checked it out...even though that's how 20% of horror movies start.
I inched closer and closer to the faint crying and crouched down beside a dumpster to find a little boy crying.
He seemed about 6 or 7 years old, with crazy brunette hair that was just everywhere and mud stained into his clothes.
He had his face buried in his knees and his hands over the back of his neck as if he was hiding or trying to protect himself.
It was just then he noticed I was there and he quickly looked up at me with horror planted in his big beautiful teal green eyes.
His cries stopped as he stopped and stared at me like I was a wild animal waiting to pounce on its prey.
"W-who are you...?" He was able to speak but had a crack in his voice as if he hasn't spoken to another human being in awhile.
"Are you ok?" Was all I could ask without it sounding like I was a pervert or criminal.
"I said, who the hell are you!?" He hollered and went back to crying.
"I'm...Levi. What's your name?"
"I'm not even sure who I am..." He wiped the tears from his eyes.
I noticed how he had a small bag with him that had the name 'Eren' written on the tag.
"Is your name Eren?" I asked to reassure.
"Y-yeah...I think it is"
"Where's your mother or father, Eren? I'm sure they wouldn't be very happy to know their child is sitting in the rain."
"I...I dont know... I dont even think I have any family..."
"How long have you been out here?"
"I dont know, I can't remember anything..."
"Well let me go see if I can get the authorities and have them search for your parents-"
I stood up and was gonna go get the police before he grabbed my jacket sleeve and looked at me with his beady green eyes.
"No, please don't leave me...im all alone" He started to cry again until I lifted him up and carried him in my right arm while carrying the groceries and umbrella in my left.
"Wh-where are we going?"
"Your going to stay with me until we find out what happened to you, do you understand?"
"Y-yes sir..."
"Call me Levi...not sir"
"Alright, Levi-san!"
