Iris Morgan has lived in Salem for the better part of her life. She was originally born in a small English village called, Forwich, where she lived for the first eight years of her life.
But after her parents were killed in a fire, she was forced to live in with her only living relatives, her aunt and uncle. They were kind to her and treated her as if she was their own. The couple never had any other children, but Iris was fine with that.
She grew up and made friends with some of the younger girls, not being particularly fond of the girls in her year. They were ruthless in their bullying, but Iris ignored them and everything worked out.
Now, she is finishing up her senior year of high school, itching for adventure and an escape from the same routine.
Halloween is steadily approaching and she couldn't be happier. Halloween is her favorite holiday, mostly due to her fascination for Witches and their practices.
Iris has always loved history, and living in Salem Massachusetts, just worked out for her. There was history all around her, especially including witches and the trials.
But Iris was particularly interested in the Sanderson Sisters. She had spent hours researching them and learning how they lived and died.
But now, as she sat through her last class of the day, Iris was thinking more and more about what she has learned about the sisters. She specifically remembers the details from their execution.
It was 300 years ago this day, that the Sanderson Sisters were executed for Witchcraft.
The execution mostly consisted of the sisters refusing to reveal the whereabouts of the leader's son, Thackeray Binx. The sister proceeded to sing, causing the townspeople to rush to cover their ears as to not hear the sound.
Winifred Sanderson now had the opportunity to read a spell from her ever faithful book, promising to return when a virgin lit the Black Flame Candle.
One last declaration was made before the sisters were executed.
Sarah Sanderson admitted to the townspeople, that she was in fact, a lesbian.
She had smirked at them as they all looked at her with disgust.
The town leader gave the order for them to be hanged and it was done.
Iris was so enthralled in the history of the Sanderson Sisters, that she didn't hear her teacher call on her.
"Iris!"
"Yes Ma'am?"
"I asked who the first Secretary of the Treasury was?"
"Alexander Hamilton."
"Very good.", Her teacher goes to ask her another question, but she is stopped by the bell.
"Have a great weekend. See you all back on Monday. Happy Halloween."
Iris eagerly gathered up her things and she was ready to run home, but she was stopped by her friend Allison.
"Hey Iris!"
"Hi!"
"Are you coming to the party tonight?"
"Your parents house party?"
Allison nodded.
"For a bit, but I'll have to leave after about an hour to so."
"That's fine. I'm leaving early too, I can't stay there all night."
Just then, a boy comes up to her. They chat for a moment before Allison is introducing her to the boy.
