✩"Why is Ravioli scared of the rain?" Valentina asked, sitting down on Kwan's bed with his antsy ferret in her hands. She rubbed her fingers along his back, smiling when he made a cute noise and settled down.
"Not the rain, the thunder." Kwan explained, "He hates thunder."
"Too bad, because I love it." Val replied, pouting when Ravioli ran away at the sound of the doorbell.
"Find him and put him in his cage while I answer the door!" Kwan ordered, leaving the room as Val ran around trying to catch the ferret.
"Alex!" Skye screamed from her room, "Doorbell!"
"I know!" Kwan screamed back, already walking down the stairs, "I'm getting it!"
He opened the door without hesitation, expecting it to be either Paige or Parker. What he wasn't expecting was both of them.
Parker was leaning against Paige, who smiled and waved at Kwan as if she wasn't holding her bleeding classmate.
"He fell off his bike." She explained before he could ask, helping Parker inside.
"Wait, here I got him." Kwan offered, replacing Paige's place with himself, "Everyone is up in Skye's room."
"I can help myself." Parker grumbled once Paige had begun walking up the stairs, "It's not even that bad, I octo swear."
Kwan rolled his eyes dramatically, "Come on, I have to help you up the stairs."
They barely made it up the stairs without falling on top of each other, and once they reached the landing Parker broke away from Kwan and leaned against the wall instead.
"Kwan, why don't you have Netflix?" Val asked from the bedroom. Kwan leaned over to see her sitting back on the bed, with his computer on her lap and Ravioli in her hands. "Whatever, I'm logging you into my account."
"Go ahead, just put Ravioli back in his cage before you lose him again." Kwan replied, dragging Parker to the bathroom across from his room. He ordered Parker to sit on the counter as he rummaged through the drawers.
He pulled out the materials he needed, setting them next to Parker before moving to stand in between the others legs.
He wet a washcloth before gently pressing it to the cut on Parker's face. He looked at Parker, who was looking anywhere but at Kwan. He smiled knowingly, "Parker, nobody's going to know we're dating just from you looking at me."
Parker finally made eye contact with him, "Sorry, I'm just nervous."
"It's okay." Kwan replied, "Nobody knows anything, or even suspects anything. If someone were to go through my phone, they wouldn't even know you're who I'm texting because I have your contact name as an octopus."
Parker's jaw dropped, "An octopus? I have your contact name as a heart!"
"I swear it has meaning, you know, because of our octo swears?" Kwan smiled at him, moving the cloth away from his face and reaching for the saline solution. He pulled a cotton ball out of the bag before pouring a little of the solution on it, "Okay, this is going to sting."
"Can't hurt more than the actual fall." Parker replied, flinching away when Kwan moved it closer to his face despite what he had said.
Kwan rolled his eyes, finally able to put the cotton ball onto his face. Parker made a pained noise, but managed to keep his face still, "What happened, anyways?"
"My bike ran over a rock and I flew off." Parker muttered, face reddening with embarrassment, "And before you laugh, it was a really big rock!"
Kwan fought back a laugh, "Whatever makes you feel better."
