Chapter 2: Day Off

A/N: Hey guys! Today I might make the third chapter some time this day, depends on what's happening! Cagney's speech is bold, Blind Specter's is normal, Creator Italicized, others underlined! Enjoy this chapter!

~{Cagney's POV}~
-{10:49 am}-
When the ghost helped us off the train me and Hilda separated and went our different ways home. "Bye Cagney!" Hilda yelled waving bye. "Bye Hilda." I said waving back at her as she went into her home. I sat down next to a small flower bed of poppy's. I started watering the flowers, as I finished watering the flowers I heard the boys running and calling my name. "Cagney!" Mugman yelled stopping in front of me. "Yes?" I asked wondering why they were calling me. "I want you to meet one of my friends!" He said smiling still out of breath. "How about tomorrow Mugman?" I ask. "Awww, but I want you to meet him now." He said with a bit of a sad look on his face. "Mugman it's almost 11 at night." I said to remind him the hour it is. "Oh yeah." He said realizing its 10:51. "How about tomorrow?" I asked to see if that would be fine. "Yeah! Tomorrow's his day off!" He said happily. "Okay tomorrow it is than, now go and get some sleep." I told him scooting him along. "Okay! We'll be at the carnival at 1:14!" He said running back home. "Okay I'll be there." I said about to go to sleep. As he started getting my smaller and smaller till I couldn't see him any more. I rested my head down and slowly fell asleep.

~{Blind Specter's POV}~
-{11:39 am}-
I watched television while I waited for Mugman to tell me when you pick him up. I gotten a message as I was about to choose another video to watch.
(MugMan) "Hey Blind Specter! I'm ready!"
(Specter) "Okay I'm on my way!"
(Mugman) "I'll be waiting outside"
(Specter) "Okay, I'll be there soon!"
I started to head over to the boys place to pick up Mugman. Once I got there we started heading to the carnival in Inkwell Isle 2, once we got there it was already 1 in the afternoon, we went to play a carnival game while we waiting for his friend to come. While we was getting some Cotten candy he yelled across from the carnival "Cagney over here!" I looked over to see who he was talking to, I started to remember him. "He's the one who got onto the train but kept zoning out." I thought to myself.

~{Cagney's POV}~
-{1:46 pm}-
I felt bad since I was late and kept them waiting. "Sorry for being late, I was extremely tired last night." I said. "Oh, it's okay, sometimes that happens!" He said in a polite tone. When I was about to say something Mugman introduced us to each other. "Cagney this is Blind Specter!" He said looking at me with a big smile plastered onto his face. Than he looked at Blind Specter. "Blind specter this is Cagney!" He said looking at him with the same face he gave me. Blind specters smiled holding his hand out, I grabbed it and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you." He said happily. "Nice to meet you too." Exchanging a smile.

~{Blind Specter's POV}~

This day was fun and it was nice having a new friend. "Blind Specter."  He said. "Yes Mugs?" I asked him wondering what he needed. "I need to start going home, Elder Kettle said that me and Cuphead's curfew is when the street lights come on." He said. "Okay let's go. I'll be right back Cagney." I said holding Mugman's hand. "Okay, I'll be playing carnival games while I wait." He said while I was about to walk out the carnival with Mugman. As we got to Mugman's house Cuphead was waiting for him at the door. "Gets Mugs!" Cuphead said while hugging his brother. "Hey Cuphead!" Mugman said, he turned his head towards me. "Thanks for taking me there and bringing me back Blind Specter!" He said while heading inside and waving. "You're welcome!" I said waving back. I started to head back to the carnival to look for Cagney.

~{Cagney's POV}~

While Blind Specter took Mugman home I won a plush. I choose the panda plush since he said he loves panda's. As the guy gave me the plush I heard Blind Specter say "I'm back!" I turned to face the direction he's coming from. "Hey, oh I won this." I said giving him the panda plush. His face lit up with joy hugging the plush tightly. "Thank you Cagney!" He said with a huge smile plastered onto his face. We went over to the hotdog stand to get some hotdogs before we played some more games, we both sat on a bench eating the hotdogs we got getting to know each other better. "I don't know what's wrong but... I like it when he smiles. Wait.. No! I just started to get to know him." I thought to myself zoning out a bit. I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was Hilda standing next to me. "Huh? Oh hey Hilda." I said looking at Hilda. "Hey Cagney! What are you doing here?" She asked me. "Oh, Mugman wanted me to meet his friend so we all met up here." I said looking at Hilda. "So who's the ghost?" She asks looking in Blind Specter's direction. "Oh! This is Blind Specter, he's the friend Mugman wanted me to meet. He's really nice." I said with a smile on my face. After that we all went onto rides, played games, and ate snacks! It was a fun day that day. "I have to go now" he said while checking the time. "Aw, will we see you sometime?" She asked him. "Yeah! I'll call y'all when I get off of work tomorrow! He said smiling. "Okay. We'll see you than!" I said smiling. "Bye!" He said while going towards the exit. "Bye!" I said smiling even more than I already was. Hilda noticed the sudden change in my behavior whenever he was around. "Looks like someone has a crush!" She said in a teasing manner. "No I don't!" I said my face turning a bit red. "You know I'm just teasing ya' Cags!" She said laughing a bit. "Whatever." I said a bit annoyed. As we was walking home I started to think to myself again.
"What is I do have a crush on him..."
