*This chapter has a slight mention of abuse*
The 'swept-over' brunette boy glanced over at the tiny window, watching as the raindrops slid down the small window, the only source of natural light down in this dark and musty basement. He sat with his arms cuddling his legs, feeling the impending loneliness and sadness seeping into his blood.
Suddenly, the metal door shrieks open, as an uncomfortable man with a mask enters slowly, the boy looks up in fear, shuffling backwards, "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you, I don't want to hurt you. " He whispers inching closer and closer to the brunette, "I need to go food shopping, wouldn't want you starving!" He strangely giggles, lifting his hands and waving them, and the boy begins breathing heavier,
"I'll be back soon, you won't even notice I was gone," He begins stroking his face and snaps back and quickly turns around and rapidly walks to the door, and turns his head and taunts, "See you soon..." He bangs the door and loud footsteps begin creeping away.
Minutes later only then did the boy realise. There was no clang of the lock. The boy slowly stands up and moves steadily to the door and inspects the door and sees for himself, that it's unlocked. His eyes widen in happiness for the first time in a very long time and pulls the door toward himself seeing a small staircase.
"Vance?" You ask in shock, noticing his soaked clothing and hair, he looks down at you, slightly tenses his face and furrows his brows, you stare into his face and grab his doused denim jacket pulling him inside, "Get in! You're about to drown in that rain," You lead him to the living room, where he glares at Finn, "Let me get you something to dry your hair with," You pause, glancing around the room and finding no luck, you start heading to the bathroom and grab two towels and return to the living room and see Vance sitting next to Finney, who looked like he had just seen a ghost,
"Don't sit on the sofa! You'll get it wet!" You swiftly yell out, Vance's eyes widen slightly, glances down to the sofa, then to Finney; then he stands up and whispers, "Sorry, I forgot that it was raining," You could tell his ego was damaged, apologising to someone seemed like a large hassle to him, especially that Finney was listening to 'his act of weakness.'
"It's fine Vance-" You awkwardly mention, seeing as he seemed deeply embarrassed, you grab a towel and spread it on the sofa, and you look up to him, "There you go, you can sit down now." You smile, he sits down and everyone awkwardly stays silent, until Finney bravely asks,
"So... Uh Vance, Why are you here? Not to sound rude or anything-"
He tries to bargain, hoping that Vance didn't perceive that as Finney challenging him, Vance looks straight in Finns' eye and responds sharply trying his best to sound calm, "I called." He began fiddling with his fingers, his hair dripping water onto his cold hands, You notice this and grab the other towel and drape it over his head, "Here, if you want you can go to the bathroom and dry it there," "It's whatever, No point in going through the effort." He huffed and began to rub the towel over his hair, "Vance, we were about to watch a movie, Uh-" You glance to Finn and he nods in agreement, but still clearly scared for his life, "Do you want to join us?" You smile at him, and for some strange reason, he looked genuinely happy, his usual frown or angry expression being replaced by a small smile that lifted both sides of his cheeks slightly, he starts to stumble on his words, "Uh... Yeah sure," He looks up and we both lock eyes for a moment until Finney interrupts, "Okay, let's start the movie," He smiles gleefully and he begins the movie, The opening starts and I sit next to Vance, urging Finn to try and communicate with him,
He was frankly too scared to, maybe it was the movie that scared him, he has a tendency to get extremely scared during horror movies, but still continues to try and watch them, maybe that was why he didn't look Vance in the eye during the entirety of the movie.
...
The boy begins to walk up the stairs and silently creaks open the door on top of the stairs, he looks forward and his confident expression faded away almost instantly as the 'Grabber' sat shirtless with a belt,
"Naughty boy, I didn't say you could come out yet, It's time to be punished..." He stands up and snaps the belt loudly on the chair, making the boy flinch, he stumbles back and falls on his back and tries crawling back as the man slowly makes his way to the boy, as he does, he grabs the boy by his hair, he screams and the man bends him over the chair and snaps the belt.
As he continuously hits the boy, he stops for a second and lifts his head and whispers in his ear while the boy cries, " You shouldn't have come out, paperboy. Or should I call you, Billy Showalter?"
Billy lifts his head up slightly with all the energy in his body, and gets closer to his face and whispers, "Don't call me that. I never want to hear you say my name. I hope you burn in hell, fucker." He spits out at him, sluggishly threatening him through his cries, trying to fight the pain, the Grabber tilts his head slightly and tightens his grip on the belt, "Naughty boy..." He begins laughing hysterically and lands one last blow on Billy, leaving him unconscious,
But after this, the Grabber would not keep him alive, this was the end of the road for Billy, but in his last conscious thoughts, he swore that he would see the end of this man,
and he would enjoy every. single. fucking. second.
One more grave was buried, and another one empty, the Grabbers game must continue, and he is on the search for a fresh victim.
Sorry, this chapter was so bad! And quite short, (Mainly because I was really tired whilst writing this :(( maybe because I pulled an all-nighter </3), I really focused on the Grabber this chapter because I'm going to try to pull the Grabber into the story, and everyone's favourite baseballer is going to be introduced soon!
I hope this chapter was good enough, I would say, this was the hardest to write, I kept deleting paragraphs and changing the way the story was flowing </3 I'll try to make a long chapter in the morning! I'll also triple check if I missed any grammar mistakes in the morning!
