It's 7:00 a.m. I'm not sure why I woke up this early. I saw the sun shining through my window and I heard the cars honking outside. The city is very loud. I got up and checked my phone and the first thing I did was check Ariana's instagram, like always. Then, I texted some of my friends and told them about my new home. They were happy for me but I felt really upset. I know I should be thankful to live in this house because it's so big but I miss them so much and now I feel lonely. The only good news is that we live by my aunt, uncle, and cousins. But that's it. I got up and put on my slippers and walked straight to my new bathroom. It's pretty big. I washed my face with my favorite soap that smelled like strawberries. Then I brushed my long, blonde hair until it was soft. I got out of my bathroom and went downstairs with my phone.

My dad was up and was making breakfast. "Good morning daddy." "Hey Gigi how did you sleep?" I tried to fake a smile. "Good... I just miss my best friends." My dad came to me and bent down. "Gigi, I know it's hard. But you're a very friendly and outgoing girl, I'm sure it will be easy to make new friends. You know? Besides, it's much better here than it was in LA." "I guess" I said with a sad voice. "Cheer up. I am making omelettes!" I love my dad's omelettes. He's a great chef. I sat down on the stool at our huge counter and looked around. I love seeing a new big house. Then we heard a knock on our door. Dad quickly said, "I got it." He opened the door and the man standing at the doorway seemed young, like 30 years old. "Hi!" My dad said cheerfully. "Hello, I am your neighbor, Paul. I just wanted to welcome you here." I got up and stood next to my dad. Then, my dad said, "Hi Paul, I am Jared Parker. Thanks for the welcoming! This is my daughter, Giselle." "Hi, how are you, Giselle?" I gave him a nice smile. "I'm good thanks for asking." Then, my dad told him to come in and take a seat and he continued to cook.

Paul seemed like he had something important to say, and then after he sat, he began to speak. "So did you guys hear about the history behind this house?" Then, as curious as I was, I asked, "What's the history? I've never heard of it." "Okay, well there used to be a lovely couple that used to live here but this penthouse burned down. Luckily the fire didn't burn down this whole entire building but it did get a lot of it. The couple sadly passed away here and this whole building was completely remodeled." I felt a chill down my spine. "A couple-- passed away here?" "Yup." My dad listened and then spoke. "Wow, I've never heard of that. That seems horrible!" "Yea it was. Oh my gosh look at the time! I'm going to be late to work. But anyways it was nice meeting you two, I will see you around!" My dad and I said bye to him and then we began to eat as soon as Rachel came downstairs. My mom already went to her new store.
