"Rob, why are you bringing me here?"

I groaned. It had been forever since I Had been to a club, let alone one full of naval aviators. My brother, Robert 'Fox' Wolff simply grinned.

"I want you to meet all the boys! I mean, you're gonna work with them in the future-" he was cut off by me slapping him. "Hey! You brought this upon yourself."

"I wish Rex had gone instead. I don't think the rest of the SEALs are busy."

I watched the ocean to my right, outside Fox's Jeep's window. It glittered in the low evening light, the sun about to set. I fiddled quietly with a loose thread from my cargo shorts. I would rather not be going to meet a bunch of men that would be bothering me later.

Being a Navy SEAL isn't easy. Far from it. There weren't a lot of females in the military, and being in the Navy's best-of-the-best combat group was a privilege I fought to earn. My squadron, a parachute team known as the Leap Frogs, had welcomed me with open arms and respected me just as I respected them. Other people, though, did not believe I belonged. You should marry someone and raise a family, not fight people with guns. It was something I've heard so much to the point I grew numb to it.

"We're here."

I was jolted from my thoughts by Fox's excited voice. I grinned at him, though the idea of meeting new people still made me want to curl into myself. I've met Fox's RIO, Blitz, before, and he's a good guy. At least I had another person to have my back. I opened the door, stepping out into the parking lot of the club. "Should I take off my stuff, like, my SEAL hat-" I started to ask, but Fox shook his head.

"Nah, it'll be fine. I don't think they'll even be looking at your head. They'll be looking at your breasts and lips and-" he laughed when I punched his arm good-naturedly.

"Yo, Fox!"

A voice called from the club doors. I turned to see Blitz, running to us. Blitz, just like my brother, wore his crisp white uniform, his wings glittering proudly on his chest. He greeted his pilot before turning to me. "Ayyy, you brought our little fighter along," Blitz grinned, pulling me into a hug. I patted his back, pulling away from him with a broad smile plastered on my face.

"Sup, Blitzy."

I greeted my good friend. The RIO beckoned us to follow him. "Cmon, Rev, Fox, you guys gotta meet all the guys, like actually meet them properly."

I rolled my eyes at my nickname. 'Rev' was short for my callsign, 'Revon'. My callsign was supposed to be 'Raven', but somehow it got screwed up. It's stuck ever since. Fox tugged my arm.

"Stop day-dreaming, Jay. Let's go!" I ran up to follow him. God, I hope this night goes well.

I almost gagged when I stepped into the club. The pungent odor of alcohol and sweat mixing together in a disgusting way. I swiped the back of my hand over my nose, trying to dispel the scent from my nostrils. I wondered if Fox regretted his choice to wear his uniform. He must be sweating real bad. I walked up behind my brother, tapping him on the shoulder.

"Hey, Foxy, I'm going to grab a drink real quick, I'll find you guys." he rose an eyebrow at me.

"Mmm, I don't think so. I don't want one of the guys trying to pick you up." I rolled my eyes, taking my hat off and shoving it into my bag, retying the turquoise bandana perched on my head.

"Fine, Rob," I turned to the bartender, raising my voice a little so she could hear. "One Kirschwasser, please." I started to doubt that the bar had it when she blinked at me, but I let out a sigh of relief when she said "Of course, ma'am. Let me grab a bottle. I haven't had someone order one this year so far."

"I'm surprised they have kirshwater here," Blitz commented.

"Kirschwasser." I corrected him with a disdainful eye roll, to both the RIO and my bored brother. The bartender pushed me a beer-sized bottle of the alcohol to me. I nodded, but was surprised they had the German alcohol in suck a small bottle. I shrugged it off, gulped a third of it down, and pointed to Fox, grinning.

"Alright, lead the way."

"Copy that," my brother chuckled, straightening his back. He pushed through a group of drunk-looking women, weaving our way through the crowd. I soon spotted the white uniforms of the naval aviators, and a ripple of anxiety washed over me. Blitz, sensing this, squeezed my shoulder, offering me a small reassuring smile. I thanked him quietly, turning forward again. Hopefully, this'll be over quickly. A man with short, ruffled hair and a mustache waved to us, grinning wildly.

"Hey, guys, look! It's Fox and Blitz!" Mustache man beckoned us over, his friend with shorter dark hair and sharp green eyes hummed lightly.

"Looks like they've picked up a gal already." Brown-eyes man noted with a chuckle. Fox rolled his eyes.

"I mean, I did pick her up to go to come here, but not in the way you're implying," Fox stated dryly. "Goose, Maverick, this is my sister, Jay. Jay, this is Mother-Goose and I-Gotta-Find-Someone-To-Hit-On Maverick." My brother pointed who was who, but I had figured it out on my own. They both nodded to me, smiling warmly.

"So, Jay, what do you do for a living-" Mav was cut off by Goose.

""Hey, hey, Slider. Thought you wanted to be a pilot, man. What happened?" Goose sat back in his chair, smirking up at the tall man that way chatting with Blitz. He turned to face Goose, irritation rolling off of him in waves.

"Goose, you're such a dickhead." Slider grunted. "Whose butt did you kiss to get in here anyway?"

"The list is long, but distinguished."

"Yeah, well so is my Johnson."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. This banter is just like what goes on between Cody and Elias. I continued listening to their 'conversation'.

"So you're flying with Iceman, huh?"

"It's Mr. Iceman to you." Slider snapped back, just as a tall blonde walked up behind Slider. I couldn't help but note to myself that his eyes were beautiful. They're literally chips of ice, Jesus Christ.

I turned back to Fox, who was joking around with someone called Hollywood. I talked with Hollywood for a little trying to ignore the loud, arguing men behind me. Hollywood was a solid guy to talk to, though a bit brash, he had a great sense of humor. I barely held a yelp back when someone tapped my shoulder.

"Hey, Fox, why don't you introduce your gal and tell us about her." I was a bit shocked to hear Iceman's voice so close to me. I turned around, leaning a bit into my brother's inviting touch.

"Well, this is Jay, and she's my little sister by three years. But, I think it's best if she introduces herself more." Fox's grin broadens when I shove him lightly. I rolled my eyes, something that I've realised I do way too often, and look up to meet Iceman and the other men in the eyes.

"Hi, I'm Jay Wolff, 24, and I'm a Navy SEAL."
